AWAITING JUSTICE

“Father, are you saying we shouldn’t go ahead to arrest that devil?!” Evan yelled from the couch where he sat, staring at Charles with his eyes burning with fury.

“Evan, Daren, keep calm and do as I say,” Charles urged as he looked at the young enraged men who were sitting opposite him.

Melisa could be seen sobbing silently with Toyosi sitting beside her, patting her shoulders.

“That evil woman made me suffer for years. She caused me enough pain that could have made me lose my sanity. What if Daren had not come back for me? What if he had let his rage get the better part of him and he does something stupid to me and my daughter? If God had not been faithful to us, where would we have been by now?” She asked amidst tears streaming down her face.

“Lisa, it’s enough. We are glad that you are alive to witness this day. Justice will finally be granted to you, Daren and May,” Toyosi consoled.

“Love, put yourself together and be calm. You know your condition,” Daren said from where he sat.
