SHE ESCAPED

The gate opened and they both stepped into the dark room which was void of light. He switched on the torchlight he was holding and flashed the light against the room. He cringed for a moment as he saw the old woman lying still on the floor. He flashed his light all over the room again and he shook his head and let out a chuckle in dismay.

“What is going on? Where is your mother?” Diana asked, walking ahead of him with her eyes looking all over the room.

He flashed his light up to the ceiling and the window and then he stopped with the light pointing at the bloodstain on the wall close to the window.
