Elysia went about her day's routine, shopping for groceries and reading books, she always enjoyed going out for the grocery shopping with the maids so she often did.

Also, the doctor had told her the importance of exercise while not stressing herself at all.

A lot was about to change, she had not even gone through the details of her assets to know if she was going to keep the house or not.

She wasn't certain which she wanted either.

The day was long and lonely and even if she stayed that way every other day, the image of her signature on the documents kept her conscious of the fact that it was real.

She was no longer married to Orion.

She was no longer Mrs Steelhart.

"Should I clear the plates Ma'am?"

"Hmm," she nodded.

"You have barely eaten today." The maid was concerned, Elysia knew that she had to eat healthy for the sake of her baby but none of the food appealed to her appetite.

"I'll have a bowl of mushroom soup," she requested knowing she had to eat for two people.

She sat in the living room staring at the wall clock waiting for the door knob to turn but it never did. Orion still wasn't back home.

Thoughts of him in the arms of his lover easily clouded her head and she tossed her phone aside, lying flat on the floor with her hands joined over her belly.

"I guess Daddy really doesn't want us here anymore," she whispered to herself or to the baby.

"Your soup,"

she smiled and sat up when she was served. The soup smelled good, a good stimulus for her appetite indeed, she slurped it till she emptied the bowl's content.

She was ready to run a bath and retire for the night when she saw her phone's screen bright with light, it didn't take long for whoever called previously to call again.

"Elysia!" The person on the other end of the phone sounded upset.

"Hi Orion," the compusure in her voice was a stark contrast to his.

"Where did you keep your phone?" His tone was a bit more gentle, he got a grip of himself when he heard the coldness in her voice.

"With me, why?" She asked audaciously and he gritted his teeth.

"So why haven't you been replying my texts?" He asked running his free hand through his hair to calm his pulsating nerves, for some reason he felt as though she was distant and he wanted to breach the gap between them.

"I was busy, I had other engagements."

"Elysia, you know we are a family and you keeping me in the dark or not responding to my texts gets me worried, you can ask me for anything." there was a certain texture in his voice but she refused to be swayed by his kind words.

"You know I really think we should contact each other less now that we are divorced." She bit her lower lip after saying the words, she didn't need his pity.

"Oh really?" Orion flared, "Is this what this is all about? The divorce?" He queried but she remained quiet and hopeful.

"Were you waiting for it all along because my assistant told me that you were not pleased with the compensation money I offered." Elysia froze, her disapproval earlier in the day had nothing to do with the amount or assets, She didn’t want the divorce, didn’t care about the money, but she was being accused of it all.

She scoffed, pulled herself up and lounged on one of the sofas, was that really what he thought of her?

"Answer me Elysia!" His tone was firmer.

In frustration, she said, “That’s right! I only ever thought of you as family anyway. Now that we’re divorced, I’ll go find someone new, someone I love as well.”  she paused.

"Someone that will love me," the last sentence was an inaudible whisper.

As she said the words, a tear escaped, trailing down her cheek dropping to her lap.

“Don’t act out of spite. I’ll give you more money for security. We’re still family, and you can come to me if you need anything.”  she shook her head, some things were just meant to be the way they were, she couldn't tell him the truth of their relationship and her love for him.

Orion placed a call to his secretary with his official phone without dropping Elysia's call.

"Add another zero to the money for the divorce, make sure her wellbeing is not jeopardized either." his assistant gasped doubting the credibility of her ears.

Orion was really going to give out hundred million dollars to his ex wife excluding the property, jewelry and shares he already assigned to her, one divorce with him was instantly going to make her a millionaire indeed.

Elysia also hearing it over the phone felt a mix of emotions, she was sad about that he only thought of her as a platonic part of his family but she was happy that he still cared about her.

Opening her heart up to him again, she asked, "Are you coming home? where are you?"

"Will you join me in the shower—" at the sound of a female voice in the background, Elysia hung up.

She had thought that she was wrong about him, she had thought to give him another chance but she was wrong again.

Nothing had changed.

Her heart felt heavier as the weight of his betrayal gnawed at her.

She couldn't carry herself to the same room that contained everything about him so she stayed there, tears streaming down her face as she cried bitterly.

Did he really betray her since he was honest with her from the start?

Her chest was tight, her body quaked with sobs as she mourned what was left of her broken home. It was definitely the voice of his lover, she was only a stand in replacement and the real owner of his heart had returned.

She was going to give them space.

“Spoke to Melissa today,” Damon's voice could be heard over the phone and he took a step out of the car, staring at the building before letting out a sigh. “She misses you.” “I know,” Jake's voice came from the other end of the line, and just like he was also exhausted he inhaled deeply, letting it out slowly as he fell to his bed with his eyes directed towards the ceiling. “I knew she would.” Damon halted in his steps, looking back for a brief moment. “What do you mean by you knew she would miss you?” “Yeah, it's what you're thinking,” Jake smiled with pain in his eyes, rolling to the end of the bed. “You're not mistaken?” Damon swallowed hard, a look of guilt playing on his face. “You mean you've not spoken since then?” Jake sat up, placing the phone on the bed before joining his hands together, his gaze falling to the floor in disappointment. “That was what you wanted, so yeah, I've not spoken to her since then.” “You misinterpreted me,” you could hear the concern in Damon's

Elysia stared outside the car window immediately her driver stepped on the brakes, but before she could even say a word Leonard had gotten out of the car, opening the door for her, and with a small smile and gentle nod she got down from the car, taking off her sunglasses. “Thanks,” she said to Leonard as she placed the glass into her bag, then without another word she turned her back on him, walking towards the entrance door of a house; one that was familiar. The approaching footsteps made her pause in her movement and she turned to Leonard, raising a hand at him. “Nah, I can go from here.” “If you say so ma'am,” he replied, clasping both hands at his front before turning away from the door. “I'll be waiting ma.” “Thanks,” Elysia said to him before she finally walked into the familiar house, and with a deep sigh she made her way to the sitting room, only for her to meet the nurses, and with a confused look in her eyes she turned to one of the nurses. “Where's she?” “In the r

Orion bit his lower lips as he watched Elysia walk out of his sight, and with a swift turn he raised his brows, gesturing towards Nessa immediately he got to where she was standing. “We are done,” Orion came to a stop, waiting for her to arrange her files, and after seeing that there was no space left for the remaining files he picked it up, tilting his head towards the elevator, and without any word between the both of them they walked into the elevator. “If something's bothering you then you should say it,” Orion broke the silence between both of them, still staring at the button of the elevator, but even at that he could feel Nessa's eyes boring into him.She perfectly arranged the file in her bag, and from the look on her face you could tell that she was giving it a second thought. “It's up to you to tell me, I'm not saying you have to, so yeah, if you don't want to, then it's fine,” Orion nodded gently as the elevator bell dinged.“It's nothing serious actually, just about you

“You really need to understand that I've got no other choice than to do it,” Donovan groaned weakly as he sat up on the bed, clutching his stomach with visible signs of pains on his face. “There's no other way out of this, trust me.” “No other way.” Seraphina gently took off her sunglasses, letting out a defeated sigh but after a while she raised her head up, adjusting the hat that she later went on to take off. “Are you trying to say you are really going to make that confession?” She asked, rubbing her right hand with her left, and in the process, offering herself warmth. “Or are you mistaken?” “What do you mean by that?” Confused, Donovan asked, squinting at the handcuff on his wrist then Seraphina. “You think I was left with an option?” Seraphina shook her head, finding it hard to hide the confused look that painted her face. “I- I've never seen you without a plan, so of course I don't understand what you are saying.” “Well, this is now the time,” he was going to raise his le

“There are a lot of hidden things in his life Janet, trust me when I say this,” Alicia's voice came from the kitchen and she placed her phone on the table before wiping her hands with a hand towel that was placed on that same table.Janet let out a sigh, the sound of her heels clicking against the floor evident in the air, but it came to a stop shortly after that.“Have you found anything worth diving deep into?” Janet asked with a louder sigh this time, one that made it obvious that it was a sigh of tiredness. “If you have then I think we should dive deep into it.” “There's nothing,” Alicia's response came in immediately and she forcefully threw the towel against the table, staring at the phone as she got to her feet. “And the fact that I'm yet to find something is what frustrates me the most.” “Shit!” “Do you believe everything's gonna be okay?” Unlike Alicia, whose voice was harsh, Janet spoke in a calm tone, gently pushing her hair behind her ear on the other end of the phone.

“You visited him yesterday right?” Seraphina's voice could be heard in the sitting room as she paced around the place, looking restless for a moment. “I mean, he was the one you went to meet when we both saw each other right?” Orion tilted his head with confusion etched on his face. “I told you where I was going yesterday, so how could you have forgotten?” “I've a lot of things going on in my life right now, so you don't expect me to keep it in my head right?” She asked, moving her hands from her waist to her forehead, but not long after that, she dropped both hands at her side. “So just tell me, did you?” “No, it was the cop I showed you, do you remember now?” He asked with a hint of frustration playing on his lips. One he did not cover, not even in a way. “Or you still need an explanation?” Seraphina scoffed, folding both arms above her chest as she tried to mask the pain that was all over her face. “I don't need an explanation Orion, I understand now.” “Why are you looking sad
