SERENA’S POV

The next few days after that fabric shopping with Mae was just a blur of us setting stuffs up. First, getting a mini sized hall to house our little business. A few sewing machines, cutting & ironing tables, mannequins, pattern papers, mirrors… and every other thing important thing. Next, we moved to setting it all up, and honestly, this was my one of my favorite parts.

Stressful no doubt, but I was all smiles throughout. Possibly because it was all coming together so fast, thanks to Eliot’s card still in my possession. I was going to use his money for as long as I could. He owed me so much more.

“Oh my God, thank you so much, Madam! This place is beautiful.”

Hear that? That’s the sound of Mae happily thanking me after i got her a fully furnished apartment not too far from our rented hall.

That’s Eliot’s card speaking. Money well spent as far as I was concerned.

Anyways, we quickly got into fabric sorting & arranging after she moved in, until finally, sketching. The part th

ELIOT’S POV“Agenda 4, done!” John mouthed before he left, smirking. Discreet of course, couldn’t have anyone finding out about our inner arrangements concerning this trip. I couldn’t help but respond to him with a smirk of my own too, feeling quite elated by the recent happenings. It really all worked like magic. The mud thing most especially, as disgusting as it was. I was disgusted upon close contact with it, and then I find out it not only stuck to skin but wouldn’t go off easily too. “Just what the hell is he thinking?” I lamented in my head, turning to stare at him while Serena and I stood in front of it.I think that was the moment. The moment when it all went to shit and next thing I knew there was a rush of air around me, Serena’s arms slipping, the rope pulling and before I knew it hot pile of brown shit was everywhere all around me.I fell.We fell.I was right on top of the disgusting shit I wanted to query John for! I was livid. Utterly livid. But then I saw her. Saw her

SERENA'S POV He blinked, speechless. Attempting to rise clean and face me.But not if I could help it."You've made me dirty, so you'll be dirty too.""What? Serena I-"Take that!" I bent quickly, springing up with mud and splashing him across the shirt instantly. The brown wet substance sticking in a heartbeat, creating a striking contrast with the shininess of his shirt."That's what you get." I commented, smirking. Bending again, grabbing mud and splashing him on the chest and legs. "That too! And -*Splash!*Mud clug to my arms. My upper arms. Freezing me immediately.I turned to him, watching his hand fold up with another batch of mud. A devastatingly teasing, competitive smile on his lips."You get that too " he smirked at me, "You throw mud on me, I do so to you too.""Oh oh oh, oh my." I chuckled dramatically, dropping all mud. My head cocking to the side, cracking the bones. "You want a war little El? You want a mud war with the ultimate champion that has never lost any mud

  • THE GLASS WIFE; the storm he built himself    Chapter 191

SERENA’S POVI felt warm throughout. So very warm, it was like hot juicy milk on a rainy Sunday, paired with sweet vanilla cake, body wrapped under the covers Rosa used to set out for me, and a really, really, really good horror movie to go along with it. So very soothing that you lose your mind to it. Forget about time and just continue to get drowned in the moment. That was how the afternoon made me feel. Who knew taking pictures held such strange powers?“You want some drink to cool down a little?” he asked, voice soft. But eyes, very much softer. I smiled, unable to help it.“Yeah,” I said, “I’ll like another drink.”I’ve already had one but who cares? The man was offering nicely.I watched him head over to the chill spot, his hair falling over his face as he searched for a drink, white shirt hugging his frame, joggers doing an excellent job on his ass area and so very well too. Ughh.He turned around, searched for me with his eyes. Once he found me, he raised a canned strawberry

SERENA'S POV "Alright, this is the determining factor. The very game that's going to determine who wins the grand prize of getting whatever he/she wants. Are you all ready?""Ready!" The teams chorused, holding onto their partners. Some groggily, Rebecca and Chris to be specific. I held on too. To Eliot. The both of us in similar positions as the other teams.Left and right foot tied together, forming a solid alliance in the middle. One foot. Our other free legs standing firm on each of our sides. Making it, the three legged race."Are you set?" The teams cheered, Eliot held me closer. His arm on my waist. My arm across his back. The both of us standing side to side, totally no space between. Our eyes fixed on the mini race track ahead, like everyone.A second more and, "Start!" The shot filled the air, John whistling loudly as almost everyone began moving immediately. Chaos and confusion ringing out. Laughter high up in air, especially as several teams collapsed after just two st

SERENA'S POV "Annnddd stop! Game over!" "Yesss!!!" I screamed, jumping on my feet. "We did it. We did it,we did it, we did it!" I jumped on Eliot. His arms quickly catching me, abandoning the box. Chuckles filling the air, vibrating on his chest. "We did it." I pulled away after a bit, grinning from ear to ear. John appearing at our stand, "You unlocked before time?" "Yes," I said proudly, nose in the air. "Any problem?" "None at all. Just what did you get?" "Get? There's something inside the box?" "Of course!" He pulled back, "Everyone that unlocked, check your box. What did you get?" I looked around, seeing more than one smiling faces. Meaning other teams unlocked same as we did. I turned to our box, seeing Eliot already picking it back up from where we had abandoned it. An envelope in hand. Again. "Another envelope? Seriously??" He chuckled, dropping the box. "It's a different colour this time, don't worry." "Good thing the game's over," I grumbled, "I don't trust

  • THE GLASS WIFE; the storm he built himself    Chapter 188

SERENA'S POV "What do we do now?" I asked, dropping the box. "The numbers aren't the code, and there aren't more clues or anything. How exactly are we to get this?" He didn't respond. Just stood still, silent. Like he was calculating. Next he moved back to the box on the stool. Stared at it, then at the already opened envelope we left there. He took the envelope. The white paper that had the instruction. "DON’T LOOK FOR NUMBERS. LOOK FOR MARKS. THE BOX REMEMBERS." He read slowly, holding the paper. Feeling it out at his fingertips, turning back around to check the other side. Nothing. It was blank. He turned the envelope next. Tore out the pattern on it, making a full paper too. But still, nothing. "I can't believe how hard this is." I grumbled, scanning around. "The other teams are finding it difficult too, that's a good thing I guess. At least we know we're not stupid." "We're not," I turned to him. "How so? We haven't found a single clue all this while." "We found the cl
