The Agreement

Arianna's POV

Silence descended over the chamber, heavy and immediate. Prince Cassian sat several feet away near the window, his blindfold firmly in place.

"Come closer."

My body stiffened. "Why?"

A faint crease appeared between his brows. "Do you question every order you're given?"

"Only when I don't understand it."

Silence stretched between us. I expected him to snap, to remind me of my place. Instead, something unreadable touched his features.

"Come closer, Lady Arianna."

I hesitated before taking a step forward, then another, stopping several feet away from his wheelchair. "Here?"

"Closer."

I took one more step.

"Closer."

I clenched my teeth, letting out a sharp breath. "How close do you want me to get?"

The corner of his lips lifted into the faintest ghost of a smile. "You're surprisingly impatient."

"I'm standing in the private chamber of a man whose wolf nearly tore five women apart yesterday," I retorted. "I think I've been reasonably patient."

The faint amusement disappeared. For a long moment, he said nothing. Then, he gestured toward the velvet chair opposite his own.

"Sit."

I lowered myself onto the edge of the seat, keeping my posture rigid. The moment I settled, his voice cut through the quiet.

"The wedding will take place in two days."

"I know. The King made that clear."

"Then let us clarify the rest." Cassian leaned back slightly. "The Council demanded a marriage and an heir. Before the court, you will give them both."

"And behind closed doors?"

"I will not demand affection or devotion from you. I will not expect you to become my wife beyond what the Crown requires. You will stay out of my affairs, and I will stay out of yours."

I crossed my arms. "And if I refuse?"

"You won't."

"You seem very certain."

"Because refusing me will not stop the wedding."

The blunt truth silenced me. He was right. Defying Cassian here wouldn't free me from the King's decree; it would only leave me trapped in this palace without any terms of my own.

"Why me?" I asked, keeping my voice level.

"The Council chose your body. Not you."

The words struck harder than I expected. To them, I was not a person. I was a solution to their succession problema vessel defined by my two wombs to secure the royal bloodline.

"And you?" I countered. "Why did you choose me?"

A brief silence followed.

"My wolf chose you."

"...Why did it choose me?"

"I don't know." For the first time, a shadow of genuine uncertainty entered his voice. "My wolf has never accepted anyone before."

"The Council wants this marriage to prove I am fulfilling my duty," he continued, his tone cold and deliberate again. "You will give them something convincing enough to keep their attention where I want it."

I frowned, catching the hidden meaning beneath his words. "Away from what?"

"That does not concern you."

He opened the drawer beside his wheelchair, removed a folded parchment, and set it on the table between us.

"Read it. Sign it."

I leaned forward and picked up the document. The terms were brief: I would complete the wedding, perform the public duties of Crown Princess, and maintain cooperation in all public matters before the Council. In return, he would not demand anything beyond what the Crown required.

Nothing on the parchment looked like an obvious trap, which only made me wonder what Cassian had deliberately left unwritten. Refusing the contract would not stop the wedding. It would only leave me trapped in it without terms of my own.

I picked up the pen resting beside the parchment. My hand trembled slightly, but I pressed the ink into the paper, signing my name at the bottom.

Arianna.

I slid the agreement back. Cassian placed a hand flat over the parchment.

"Good," he said. "Our arrangement begins now."

I stood up from the chair, eager to leave the heavy atmosphere of the room. "If you'll excuse me, Your Highness."

He offered a single, quiet nod.

The contract gave me boundaries, but it did not give me safety. Until I understood what Cassian had deliberately left out of that agreement, I needed an escape route before his unwritten plans closed around me.

I turned toward the door. As I walked across the room, my mind absently retraced the layout of the wing I had observed since arriving.

One high window.

One main door.

A second exit half-hidden behind the towering bookcases.

Three possible routes once I reached the corridor outside.

My hand reached for the door handle.

"You counted three routes."

Every muscle in my body locked.

Slowly, I turned around.

Cassian hadn't moved. He was still seated in his wheelchair, the dark blindfold covering his eyes, his posture entirely relaxed.

My heart slammed into my ribs. That was impossible. He shouldn't have known.

"You've been planning your escape since the moment you entered this palace, Lady Arianna," he said, his voice smooth, cold, and absolute.

I stared at him, unable to speak. He had known exactly where I stood. He had known what I was looking at.

My fingers tightened around the door handle.

"...How?"

I whispered.

Cassian turned his blindfolded face unerringly toward me.

Then I forced the question past my tightening throat.

You can see, cant you?

He didn't answer my question. Instead, his quiet command cut straight through the silence. "Stop planning your escape."

A chill crept up my spine.

"I wasn't..."

"You were." His voice stayed calm, certain, and completely unyielding. "You won't leave."

"Not until I say so."

  • THE LYCAN PRINCE'S BREEDER   The Price of Peace Was Me

Arianna’s POVThe world above me tilted, and for a few seconds, I forgot how to breathe. What was she saying?“What do you mean by the person’s life will be used to save the Crown Prince’s?”“It’s just as I have said, Your Highness. They want a life in exchange for the life and safety of the Crown Prince.”I felt the blood drain from my face. I was still finding it hard to comprehend what I just heard.“You mean…” I trailed off, trying to figure out the right words to say. But nothing came out.“Yes.” Lady Helena’s voice cracked. “They want one member of the Valtheris Royal Family as the price for peace.”For several seconds, I couldn’t speak. My mind kept struggling to process her words. All this time, I had thought I was volunteering to travel to Dravaryn to negotiate peace. I had thought I would simply walk into their kingdom, speak with their King, understand his demands and hopefully find a way to end the war. But that wasn’t what this was. They didn’t want a negotiator. They wan

  • THE LYCAN PRINCE'S BREEDER   A Life for A Life

Arianna’s POVFor a few seconds, I didn’t say a word. I just stood at the door entrance, staring at him.I reminisced on his words.“Just make sure you come back safely to me. You’re not a nobody. You are Arianna, my wife and the future Queen of Valtheris Kingdom. You matter more than you think. Always remember that.”The way he said those words felt personal. Far too personal for someone who he saw as just a vessel.Though I had heard Cassian call me his wife before, especially when he needed to remind others of my position. But this was different. There was something warm and possessive in his voice when he called me that. Something that had made my heart skip and butterflies dance in my belly. I lowered my gaze, suddenly feeling warmth spread across my cheeks. Why did those words affect me so much?Maybe because no one except my mother had ever reminded me of how much I mattered.Growing up, I had always been reminded of what I lacked.A wolf-less Omega, who had never been consider

  • THE LYCAN PRINCE'S BREEDER   She Matters

Arianna’s POV“Arianna, how could you have said that?” Cassian’s voice cut through the room.He was standing before me, his blindfold gone and his intense gaze fixed on me.“Said what?” I pretended not to understand what he meant, when in actuality, I did.“Don’t pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m being serious.”“And I’m serious too, Your Highness.”I saw his jaw tightened as if he was trying to stop himself from losing his temper. “You just volunteered to walk into Dravaryn despite knowing how dangerous the Kingdom is.”“I volunteered to negotiate, not to start a war,” I replied calmly. “Do you even know what you are getting into? Why do you keep getting yourself involved in dangerous and complicated matters?” His voice was low, but I could hear the anger beneath it.I let out a deep sigh. “Cassian, I am merely trying to end this war.”“I know you’re trying to save us all, but it shouldn’t be at the detriment of your own life. Do you have any idea what could happe

  • THE LYCAN PRINCE'S BREEDER   Into the Lion’s Den

Arianna's POV“Princess Arianna, please come forward and tell us the solution you promised to provide us with today,” the councilman standing in the middle of the chamber said.Silence enveloped the room, and every eye in the room was on me. They all waited patiently… waited for me to stand up and disgrace myself. But nothing of such would be happening.I confidently rose to my feet and walked toward the councilman, standing beside him where everyone could see me. I turned to the King, the Queen and the council, giving them a polite bow.“Good morning, Your Majesties. Good morning, Council Members.”“Good morning, Princess Arianna,” they responded, though some voices sounded as though they were being forced to answer.I straightened and looked around the chamber. I took a deep breath before my lips parted open.“I spent the past few days thinking about the conflict between Valtheris and Dravaryn. I studied everything I could find about the history between both kingdoms, the previous n

  • THE LYCAN PRINCE'S BREEDER   The Omega Who Calmed the Beast

Cassian's POV“I’m fine,” I finally managed to say.“You're sure?” she sounded unconvinced.“Yes.”She studied my face for another few seconds before finally lowering her hand, relief washing over her features.“I’m glad.”Those two words hit me harder than they should have. My heart began racing wildly in my chest for a reason I didn’t know. I looked away immediately. Why was she like this? Why did she care so much about me?“You should be worried about yourself,” I muttered, looking back at her.She frowned.“I am.”“Then why are you asking about me?”Her expression softened.“Because I saw what happened to you.”My jaw tightened.“Then, shouldn’t you be afraid of me?”“I was.”Her response took me aback. She lowered her gaze to her injured arm.“When you attacked me, I was terrified. But not anymore.”Guilt clawed at my chest. Not anymore?“Why?”“Why what?” confusion washed over her.“Why did you stay despite knowing you could have died? And why aren’t you scared of me anymore?S

  • THE LYCAN PRINCE'S BREEDER   The Omega Who Claimed the Beast

Cassian’s POV I hurriedly carried her up in my arms and rushed her to the bed. She looked exhausted, and her arm wouldn't stop bleeding. My gaze fell on the deep scratches across her skin, and my heart twisted painfully in my chest.I had done this to her. I had hurt her.“Damn it,” I muttered under my breath.I carefully laid her on the bed and reached for the small medical kit in the drawer beside my desk.I had to treat her myself. I couldn't call the royal physician. Because the moment the physician stepped into this room and saw the state of it, questions would follow. Why was the Crown Prince's study destroyed? Why was the Crown Princess injured? The last thing I needed was the royal family discovering the terrifying thing happening to me. Especially not now.I had spent years hiding this side of myself. I wasn't about to let one mistake expose everything.I returned to the bed and carefully cleaned the blood from Arianna's arm. She didn't stir and that got me worri
