Chapter Thirty-Seven

I smiled nervously and withdrew my face.

"I came to talk to you," I said looking into his eyes.

His face was grim now, and he moved off the wall.

"About what?"

"About us, I want to know what happens next. How we are going to live the rest of our lives

The muscle in his jaw flexed. "I had no idea that there was still an us. I thought you could not wait to run away and play little slut with the doctor fool in Adelaide."

"The doctor fool, who?"

Then I remembered Richard, but why was he the one interrogating me when he was the one who lied and deceived me?

"A slut? How dare you call me that? What was I to do when you lied to me and had been lying to me every single moment we spent together?" I shouted, feeling very angry now.

He looked guilty for a second before his face smoothed back, showing no emotion.

"Stay in here for tonight and in the morning. I am taking you back to Palast Der Toten Seelen and having a word with Father," he said, turning about to leave the room.
