Chapter Thirty-two

I woke up with a groan; my head was killing me. It was like someone was splitting it into two. My body also hurts everywhere. I did not know where I was. I opened my eyes slowly and then tried to sit up, but I couldn't. I tried again and managed to rise a bit, but someone pushed me down.

"Lie back; don't try to get up yet."

I took a good look at her. She was beautiful, not so tall, had brown hair, and had a stethoscope on her neck. She must be a nurse. My gaze wandered from her to the room. It looked like a hospital. The walls were white, the curtains blue, and I was lying in the center of the room on a luxurious bed. This was not a hospital; nobody kept this kind of bed in a hospital ward.

"Ouch!" I groaned. She had pulled out the needle from the drip.

"Sorry, I pulled it out as gently as I could."

"Where am I? And why am I here?"

She did not say a word but was busy packing the residuals from the drip.

I tried to get up from the bed again, and the pain became ten times worse than it
