Chapter 14

Lila enjoyed the presence of Nana and she didn’t know when she fell asleep on her chest. The next day, she met herself in a room and the first thing she remembered was her mom who died yesterday. She couldn’t cry anymore, but her heart was heavy.

Then she remembered that Nana had comforted her last night and she felt grateful for what Nana did. She stood up and went straight to the kitchen, although, it was still early, but she was going to give her an early morning food.

She got to the kitchen and thought of what she could prepare to touch Nana’s heart and to also show how much she appreciated the comfort she gave her yesterday. Suddenly, an idea popped out and she decided to make beef stew which she knew Nana would like.

After an hour of preparing everything and setting it into a tray, she went upstairs to Nana’s room, and carefully placed the meal at her side table, then she left a letter of appreciation under the tray. She went downstairs and headed towards the door to leave, but
