Chapter Ten

Lila was shocked at the car fast approaching her, at that moment her brain froze. The headlight shone on her widened eyes and suddenly the fast approaching car swerved from the right to the left, Lila breathes out, out of fright. Her hands were shaking, and her eyes stung with tears as she thought about how she could have died.

“Lila!” she suddenly heard Emma’s voice and turned to look at him, bursting into tears, her body shakes fervently as she tries to comprehend what almost happened to her.

“What is wrong with you? What are you doing, thinking about?” Ema shouted angrily at her, and she came out of her reverie state. Lila wipes away her tears angrily looking at Ema full of rage.

“You don’t have to shout at me that way,” Lila said and Ema scoffed.

“I will shout at you if it pleases me, what were you thinking about and the car almost hit you, imagine the driver didn’t know how to handle the wheels what could have happened?” Ema shouted.

“Don’t scream at me, please, I just escaped
