CHAPTER THREE

Miho stared at the fired chips on the table before her.

“They’ve got no poison” said the strange man while moving his chair backwards and forward. “Do you want me to eat first?”

Miho didn’t say a word as she kept her eyes on the strange man. The strange man picked one of the chips and ate it.

“You see?” he asked.

Miho slowly started eating.

“Nice right?” asked the strange man staring at the young woman before him who had her eyes close when biting on the chips.

She didn’t say anything only her face turned red out of embarrassment. The people around the small restaurant kept looking at them.

“Who is she?” asked a man drinking beer.

“I don’t know but the dude seems to know her” said a man with smoking a cigarette.

“The first time I also ate them I danced as I took a bite” said the strange man finally stopping his chair from moving.

Miho let out a small laughter which she tried to hide.

“Sound funny but it is the true” replied the strange man stretching his arms. “But it is better dancing rather than dreaming about them.”

“So...So you also dreamt them?” asked Miho still bursting in laughter.

“Not me obviously but a person close to me did” replied the strange man. “Ohh look the rain has stopped, you can now go home.”

Miho’s smile quickly faded.

“Come on let’s go” he said getting up.

“I’m hungry” said Miho.

“You’ll eat at home” replied the strange man. “I’m sure your parents are searching high and low for you.”

“Are you trying to get rid of me?” asked Miho. “Am I a burden to you?”

“What?” asked the strange man in disbelieve.

“Never mind” said Miho taking her bag pack and her fried chips and ran out.

The strange man was left confused.

Miho ran down the narrow street as fast as her legs could allow her. She tripped and fall causing her fired chips to fall down. She got up and kept running. Again she tripped and fall as she lied down crying.

She suddenly heard footstep approaching her as she didn’t stop crying. She felt a huge hand rubbing her back as she slowly moved her face which had turned red up.

“It is okay” said the strange man sitting next to her while rubbing her back.

Miho rapidly hugged him as the strange man kept brushing her hair.

“Shh, you are going to be okay” said the strange man staring at the walls of the building before them.

“I don’t want to go home” Miho said. “Please don’t make me go back there.”

Suddenly Miho heard a familiar voice shouting her name.

“No, no, no” she said in panic as she moved away from the strange man’s chest.

“What’s wrong?” asked the strange man.

“I’m sorry I got you involved in my madness but you have to go as in now before he sees you” said Miho picking up her bag pack and getting up.

She ran down the narrow street until she came to the Treasure Street.

Gasping and wiping her tears was what she was doing. She pretty well knew what would happen to her if she was found in this part of Plotile city.

Someone violently grabbed her from behind.

“Let go of me!” she yelled trying to fight back. “Do you know who I am?!”

The tanned man said nothing as he dragged her up the Treasure Street while speaking to his phone. All Miho heard was, “I’ve found her”

“Let go of me!” she yelled while holding on the street light poles.

The tanned man threw her on the ground as she fall on shiny shoes as she moved her eyes up.

“Thank you T-man” said Mr. Wen handing him a few bank notes.

“No, I don’t take cash but you owe me a favor” said the tanned man. “She got lucky to be still breathing at this side of the world next time we won’t be easy on her.”

“Trust me there will be no next time” said Mr. Wen.

As soon as the tanned man disappeared behind the buildings Mr. Wen slapped Miho as she fall down.

“Are you really that stupid Miho to come at this god forbidden place?!” yelled Mr. Wen.

“I’m sorry brother” cried Miho still holding her cheek.

“Sorry my foot!” yelled Mr. Wen as he held her by her hair and threw her inside the car. “I’m not done with you!”
