Chapter 8: Turtle Snake Sign

James turned and was surprised by who he saw. "Roselyn?" He muttered gently. His eyes returned to normal, as well as his claws immediately he saw Roselyn's pretty face.

"I said, you should let him go!" Roselyn repeat.

"Hey Roselyn, get away from here!" Paul yelled at her.

"Reduce your voice, Paul, don't yell at her!" James rolled his eyes at him.

"Common James, she's always obstructing our plans!" Mathew said angrily.

"Yeah, they are right! She likes to intervene in what doesn't concern her!" Chiu sneered.

Despite what they are saying about her, Roselyn still strides over to them. When she got closer, James quickly threw the boy to the ground, and the boy started coughing.

When Roselyn got to them, she bent on her knees and placed her right hand on the bruises on the boy's collarbone.

"Are you okay?" She asked with warmth.

James and his friends were anxious to know what she's about to do, as they focus on her. Immediately she removes her hand, all the bruises were gone. And they were all startled by what she just performed.

"Wow, thank you, Rose!" The boy jumped up in excitement as she healed him.

"Don't mention." She replies with a smile.

The boy picked up his school bag from the floor and ran away from there. Rose too was prepared to leave, when James suddenly grabbed her wrist;

"Wait Roselyn," his voice was gentler towards her.

"What is it?" Rose frowned as she turns.

"It wasn't what you think. I was only trying to teach him----"

"I never asked for your explanation, so save it!" She abruptly cut him short and walked out of him.

James was still staring at her as she walked out of the vicinity when his friends moved closer to him.

"Got rejected?" Harry said jokingly.

"It's pretty obvious Harry!" Paul backed him up with laughter.

"Stop it guys! Believe me, I will make sure I win her over very soon!" James said boastfully and walked out of their midst...

**********************

It has been three days since Susan got discharged from the hospital, and she has been calm for those three days.

Williams made sure to take proper care of Susan, and spent almost all his time with her in the room. Jaden has been happy too because his mom has not yelled at him, for quite some days now.

His journey to Edinburgh has been on hold too, and he couldn't ask for more happiness than all that he's experiencing at the moment.

Susan was in her room, as usual, sleeping, when Jaden walks in and woke her up. Susan that was still sleepy, screamed at him as he touched her on the shoulder.

"Get out of here!" She yelled angrily.

"But mom, there's something urgent I need to talk to you about," Jaden replied calmly.

"And you couldn't wait till I wake up?" Susan glared at him whilst still lying down.

"It's a matter of urgency mom!"

"I don't want to listen to anything right now, get out!" Susan said in a harsh tone, and turned to the other side of the bed, to sleep.

As Jaden saw how she reacted, he walked out of her room with a worried expression. He went straight to the living room, and wait patiently for Williams, who has gone out for a while.

After waiting for too long, he dozed off on the couch...

"Come to me Jaden, I'm your father!" A tall, chubby man with blue eyes and grey hair on his beard extends his left hand towards Jaden, who was standing beside an ocean.

"No! You are not my father! My father is not a monster like you!" Jaden moved backward and wailed out.

"Believe me, son, am not evil!" The man said convincingly.

"Am not your son! Don't you dare address me like one!" Jaden continues wailing.

"Really? Seize him!" The man said authoritatively to the two hefty men, behind him.

"No! Let me go!!" Jaden started running so fast, as those two men approach him.

"Jaden!!" Williams tapped him on his thigh to wake him up.

"Yes!!" Jaden screamed out of his dreams and hugged Williams so tight.

He was panting heavily when Williams drew him out of his arms. "What happened to you son?" Williams had a concerned look on.

"I h-had a b-bad d-dream dad!"

"Calm down, and talk gently." Williams rubbed his back.

Jaden breathes in, and out a few times, and continues; "I had a bad dream about someone telling me that, he is my father!" Jaden explained calmly.

Immediately Williams heard him, his face instantly changes to a worried one. "Did you see the face of the person?" He suddenly asks.

"Yeah, dad! He is tall, chubby, and had blue eyes, I guess!" Jaden wasn't that certain about what he saw.

'That's Austin!' Williams thought inwardly as fear overtook his whole body.

"What is it, dad?" Jaden notices the sudden change in Williams's face as he told him about the strange man.

"It-it nothing!" Williams wasn't at peace anymore within his body.

"Are you sure dad?" Jaden doesn't seem convinced by his words.

"I'm okay son, don't worry about me!" Williams replied. "Where is your mom?" He asked to distract Jaden from discovering anything further.

"She's inside, still sleeping... Less I forget dad, there's something I need to show you." Jaden raised his shirt and turned his back to Williams. "This is what I saw, early this morning!"

"What! A sign of turtle snake!!" Williams screamed out.

"What's wrong dad?" Jaden turned to look at him with surprise.

"Huh, it's nothing son!" Williams pretends as if, everything is fine.

"You can't tell that after you screamed that way!" Jaden doesn't believe what he just said.

"I'm just shocked with what I saw, that's all. It's nothing, truly!" He assures him.

"Okay, if you say so, dad... So, what's the meaning of the sign at my back?" Jaden asked.

"I guess it has to do with your mom, being a powerful vampire before, and you being her son." Williams just gave him an unreasonable excuse. "Speaking of your mom, have you told her anything yet about this?" Williams sounds curious.

"No, dad... When I went to her room to inform her earlier, she angrily sent me out!" Jaden explained to him, all that his mom did.

"Just calm down with her, I will talk to her."

"Okay, dad!"

"Can I ask you for a request, please?" Williams suddenly asks.

"Sure dad!"

"Will you please, not mention what you just said, or show me to your mom yet?"

"But why dad?" Jaden seems confused.

"It's for the better, believe me!" Williams persuades him.

"Hmm alright, I will do as you say..." Jaden gave him his word.

"Thanks, son. I need to go see your mom now." Williams stood up.

"Okay, am going out to get something done too. Talk to you later dad!" Jaden bids farewell to Williams and left.

After Jaden left, Williams sat back on the couch and started having different thoughts.

'Is Jaden truly the TYRANT HYBRID? Would he be the one to destroy the whole world with his tyranny? Is he the child of prophecy?'

A lot of thoughts continue crossing his mind, repeatedly. What he has been wishing for all this while, wasn't granted. That is, Jaden shouldn't possess any power or turns out to be the child of the past prophecy.

"This can't be happening! I need to do something as fast as I can, to stop Jaden!" Williams mumbled to himself as he heads to Susan's room.

When he got to her room, he was surprised to meet Susan, dressing up as if, she's about to go out.

"Where are you going, Susan?" He asked with a raised brow.

"There's something I need to attend to at the company, urgently. I will be back in the next few minutes." Susan replies as she put on a black leather jacket on the red dress she wore.

"Okay! Just don't stress yourself, and make sure you take your medications." Williams reminds her.

"I will!"

"Susan, when is Jaden going to WAVA?" Williams hesitated at first before he asks.

Susan stopped what she was doing at that moment, as she was amazed by his question. Williams was the one that talked to her some days back, about not wanting Jaden to leave yet. So, why the sudden change? Susan was confused.

"Why asking? I thought you were against him going at first?" Susan asked.

"Nothing much... I just thought he needed it now!" Williams came up with an excuse.

"Needed it for what? I don't seem to understand you, Williams!" Susan had a confused face on.

"Huh," Williams was caught off guard with her question. "Didn't you say, the Academy will help him nurture his power, and guide him on the right path?"

"Yes?" Susan was still confused.

"Then I thought he needs to go as soon as possible. I can't continue hoping for what's not going to happen!" Williams made sure he doesn't sound suspicious.

"Okay, now I get it! He would be leaving in the next two days!" Susan said and picked up her bag.

"Good!" Williams seems to be at peace a little.

As Susan opens the door and was about to step out, she and Williams were both surprised to see Jaden, standing at the entrance of Susan's room.

"I hate you, dad!" Jaden turned to Williams and glared at him...
