Plans

Axel.

Alpha Axel let out a deep growl. He still couldn’t believe it. Of all the things that could have happened to him, the moon goddess had decided to bond him with a rogue, the kind of wolves he considered scum. He ran his hands through his hair, feeling frustrated. He was feeling a deep sadness and emptiness inside him that he neither understood nor liked. He knew that when you rejected your mate, you would feel a lot of pain. Since she had not accepted the rejection, the pain was still mild. The breaking process of the bond was the painful.

Axel was prepared to deal with it. He couldn’t be with a rogue, much less make one his luna. No matter what other people said, Axel was convinced rogues wouldn’t change. He had once heard a human man say that you couldn’t turn a hoe into a housewife.

To axel, rogues were like whores because they were not loyal to anyone. They lived under their own rules and only cared about themselves. Having a sense of community grounded people. People who were in packs had attachment to their packs and were more careful because their actions could lead to consequences that would affect everyone. Besides they had a system that kept them in check.

On the other hand, rogues did whatever they wanted. They were uncontrollable. Although some did no harm to other people, it didn’t take away the fact that they were very reckless. To try and turn a rogue into a proper luna would be an uphill, almost impossible task. An alpha of a neighbouring pack had tried it a few years back and he’d lived to regret it. The woman destroyed his pack within months before rejecting him and running off to live as a rogue again. Alpha Axel couldn’t risk that.

Axel headed towards the elevator that took him up to his house which was about a hundred meters away from the main pack house. He found two of his mistresses in the living room and smiled. Why would he need that stupid rogue when he could have all the beauties the world had to offer? Sure, the rogue was quite a beauty, more beautiful than any of his mistresses but she came with a lot of trouble that he didn’t want.

His wolf was sulking, angry that he had rejected their mate but Axel didn’t care. He went and kissed one of the mistresses who had come to meet him. Feeling the warmth of her luscious body, he felt his body relaxing. He could still feel his wolf’s anger and hated that he couldn’t shake it off.

He let out a growl and kissed the woman, hoping it would take away all the negative emotions swirling over him. It was not helping. He bent down and lifted the woman, carrying her bridal style up the stairs.

At the top of the stairs, he suddenly placed her down, realising that what he was planning was not going to help. His wolf was becoming a nuisance. If there was a way to shut it down, he would have done so but that would mean taking away the most important part of him. He knew he wouldn’t like to be a powerless human.

Abandoning the confused woman, axel ran down the stairs and went out. He ran into the woods, going deep into the forest. He ran for what seemed like an hour before returning to his pack. He took a shower and went to the pack house.

“She’s gone again,” his mother said.

Axel clutched his jaw. “What is wrong with that daughter of yours? I thought I killed the rogue she seeing. She shouldn’t have rejected her mate for that moron.”

“You may just have made it worse by killing Tommy,” his mother said. “She’s become more erratic than ever since you killed him. She says she doesn’t care about anything anymore. Since he’s dead, she might as well be. We tried to stop her and she lied to us, said she needed to get some air in the yard. Suddenly, she was gone. I think she went to look for his body.”

“That damned rogue, ruining everything even in death. She won’t find anything because I had the body burnt. Has someone gone to bring her back?”

The woman shook her head. “That’s the problem. They didn’t find her. What if she ran away to become a rogue? She’s my only daughter. Why couldn’t you leave her alone?”

“She’s my sister too and I care about her. That’s why I didn’t want her to be with that useless rogue.”

“I need my child back before the end of the day.”

Axel chuckled. “And who do you think you’re talking to like that. You may be my mother but I’m the alpha. If she wants to go away, let her.”

“Are you going to leave your sister alone during such times?”

“Of course not, mother. I’ll send people to go after her. Gosh, you women are so annoying. You get rid of another one, another causes a problem. By the way, did you know that Tommy was dating one of the rogue girls we caught? That rotten fool was two timing and you were going to let Joanna be with him.”

His mother sighed. “I didn’t know what to do. You know that she is very sensitive. She doesn’t have many friends and I was just happy to know that she’d found someone to spend time with.”

“The only reason she doesn’t have friends is because she is a bitch and no one can stand her.”

“Okay, let’s just try to find her. Wherever she is, she must be so scared.”

Axel went outside to speak to some of the security personnel and organise a group to go looking for Joanna. Ever since she had gone to that rave and met Tommy Sanders, she’d turned into a nuisance. When he followed her with his little group of rogues, he had to put a stop to his plans.
