26. Catch a big fish!

Lauren went to meet James to ask him about Jace. As she hadn't seen him after coming back from her home. That means he hadn't come back yet.

She rapped on the door and she heard a voice from inside. As she went inside opening the door to her surprise it was Jace. She was stunned for a moment. Not knowing what to say. She wasn't prepared for this. Jace also noticed her nervousness so he initiated the conversation.

"What happened, Lauren? Are you not happy to see me? Or should I say you are expecting someone else in my place, I mean James? If you are looking for James then he's not here. You can find him in the arena. He's practicing there." Jace's voice was cold and Lauren didn't like the tone. As she was used to his warm and welcoming tone. But today he was different.

"It's nothing like that. I came to ask about you to James. I wasn't expecting you here. That's why I was stunned. I'm happy to see you back home." Lauren said quickly which brought a smile to his face.
