ALESSANDRO’S POV

“That lady back there, you know her?” Lorenzo had asked as we were driving back after the operation. The other men had drove back to their units in the other car and for some reason I couldn’t understand why Lorenzo had requested to ride in my car with me. Asides during operations, we both hated to be near each other.

“No.” I answered, praying he dropped the conversation. Whatever the fuck Isabella had come in our operation scene to do at that moment. Talk about a terrible fate and omen. Felt it the entire night. And it happened.

“Are you sure it was wise leaving her alive. She acted quite suspiciously…” he added.

I ignored him for a second but knowing Lorenzo, it was always best to set things straight to wave off every suspicious vibe he was already getting.

“Don’t you think it would have been more suspicious that some random lady walks into a crime scene and just laugh like it was nothing…she is just mere server girl.”

He shrugged and didn’t say another word.
