"Trust me, you don't know what it feels like to be the first daughter," Tasha said, applying eyeshadow to her eyes.

We became friends almost immediately yesterday after I introduced her to the boys. We chatted for a while and exchanged contacts. It was almost as if she wasn't gloomy not long ago.

She was a very lovable person, a beautiful girl with a beautiful soul and believe me when I say this, her boyfriend, who dumped her, was a big-time fool.

I invited her over to the house. I wanted a girl's time with her. So far, it's been nice. We watched some movies on N*****x together, gossiped about entertainment celebrities and right now, we decided to play dress up. And by dress up, I mean playing with makeup and taking nice pictures with no intention of going out.

I was telling her that I was the first and only daughter wanting to have younger siblings who looked up to me.

Apparently, she had more to say about it.

"I feel like there is a huge weight on my shoulders, I need to make sure that I lead the best examples for my younger ones", she continued.

"Also, sometimes I just need my personal space or privacy and I can't have that with them always at home."

"Wait..how many siblings do you have again?" I asked

"I have two younger siblings. They are all girls," she smiled

"I love them so much and won't trade them for anything, but sometimes I just wish I was the only child that way. I won't have any worries in the world", she shrugged.

"Oh just like Connor and Lowell, you remember them, right? We met yesterday" I paused, waiting to be sure she knew them.

She nodded, gesturing for me to continue.

"They are also three, and I wonder if their older brother Ralph feels that way sometimes."

I was almost done with my makeup and was applying blush. I looked up at Tasha and admired her. She really knew how to play with colours.

"Phew, look at us, Tasha, looking all glammed up for a nonexistent occasion" I pouted my lips and posed even though we were not taking any pictures.

"You are not serious," she said, laughing.

We then heard howling coming from a distance.

Tasha paused. "Did you hear that? Or is my ear making up things".

"Do they have dogs in this house, or what's making that sound"

Oh shit

I don't think the guys knew I brought someone into the house. I've been told Werewolves howl to communicate their location to other pack members and to ward off rivalling packs from their territory. I wonder why they were howling now. I had to distract Tasha so She wouldn't notice something was off.

"It's nothing, someone is probably watching a movie downstairs," I said nonchalantly.

But deep down, I wanted to know the reason for the sound.

"I'll be right back. I want to go get a snack from the fridge" I used this as an excuse to see what was going on.

"Alright, Can you bring for me also" She battled her eyelashes, trying to look cute.

"Sure" I left the room and hurried downstairs.

I saw Ralph on the couch, playing video games and approached him. He was putting on a black hoodie with black sweatpants. Black was his signature outfit. He seldom wears other colours of clothing.

He looked up and smiled at me, and I couldn't help the butterflies that began to flutter in my stomach.

I'm not going to lie, yes, I have a crush on him, but I will never admit that.

"Hey, Lulu". He greeted me. He knew I hated being called that. Of course, he was the only one who called me that to annoy me.

"Hi, Ralph", I replied with a sweet smile

"Where is everyone anyway?"

He shrugged "probably out there doing their wolf business.

"And you're not part of it, why?"

"Bleh, boooring", he stuck out his tongue, disgusted by the thought.

I rolled my eyes at his childish behaviour. Just then, Connor scurried into the house with a terrified look.

"What's wrong" I was getting tense.

"We received a call from Alpha Derek from the Shadow pack, and he said that they have been the scent of rogues passing through the territories", he growled.

Oh, that explains the howling we heard earlier

I noticed Ralph was mumbling to himself

"What are you saying?"

"Nothing"

"So what are we to do now," he asked, clearly not interested but just feeling the need to ask.

"A general meeting has been called for at the pack house. Dad's mind linked me and wants us to be there right this moment."

Ralph cleared his throat.

"Ermm, sorry, I won't be available. I have lectures in school by noon."

"You know I can sense you're lying, right? There is no point in you even trying", Connor smirked.

"Yeah, whatever", Ralph scoffed.

I looked back and forth at the both of them, amused by their little or not-so-banter. I remembered Tasha was still in the room waiting for me. I stood up and went to the fridge. I took snicker chocolates and ran up the stairs.

"I'm sorry I kept you waiting for so long" I tried apologizing to Tasha immediately after I entered the room.

But she was sprawled out fast asleep on the bed with her makeup still on, gently snoring.

I muffled my laughter so as not to wake her up, then left the room.

"You guys have still not left, I thought you had a meeting to attend" Connor and Ralph looked like they were battling with the game console.

"I decided to relax. I can afford to be late for a few hours", replied Connor.

With Tasha asleep and the guys playing, I wanted to do something to entertain myself or keep me busy.

"I don't enjoy video games. Let's watch a movie, something we can all enjoy."

"Fine", Ralph grumbled, dropping the console.

"Listen, we won't be watching any of those chick flick movies, understood?"

"What do you suggest we watch then."I asked

"Inception", Ralph said flatly.

"Really? That's the best you can come up with" I gave him the side eye

"How about Purple hearts."

"You guys enough, can we pick one already? I'm tired of this back and forth." Connor glared at me

"Inception it is", Ralph insisted

I folded my arms, shooting daggers at him.

"No it won't be fair, let's play rock paper scissors, the winner gets to choose". I suggested

“And let the game begin” Connor fake whistled

"Rock, paper, scissors"

In the first round, we both chose rock, so it was tied, and we immediately replayed.

"Rock, paper, scissors"

I did the Paper sign while Ralph did the rock. Paper covers rock, which means he lost to me.

"Yay! I won, I get to choose" I did a little happy dance to show my excitement.

"What are you 5?" Ralph scoffed, clearly not happy about his loss.

"Sulk it in bro", Connor laughed.

I selected Purpleheart on N*****x, and we were all set to watch the movie. 30 minutes into the movie, we heard the door slam open.

We turned to see who it was, it was Mr Harper, he was fuming with anger.

"You have got to be kidding me, you're watching a movie when you should be at the pack house?"

"Get out now!!" He ordered with a growl.

Lovette’s POVI had noticed that Gabriel was always around Celeste. At first, I brushed it off, thinking that he was just being friendly. But as the days went by, I couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something more to it.So, I decided to ask him about it."Hey, Gabriel," I said, leaning over to him. "I've noticed that you're always around Celeste. Is there something going on between you two?"Gabriel didn't give me a direct answer. He just smiled and said, "Why do you ask?"I felt a pang of frustration. I had hoped for a straight answer. But before I could say anything, Ralph came up to me and took me away."Lovette, my love," he said, hugging me. "I've missed you. What were you and Gabriel talking about?"I hesitated for a moment but then decided to tell Ralph what was on my mind. "I was just asking Gabriel about Celeste. He's always around her, and I can't help but wonder if there's something going on between them."“I see. But don't worry about it, babe. I'm sure there'

Gabriel’s POVI was a mess. I couldn't bear to see Celeste like this. I paced back and forth in front of her room, my heart beating frantically in my chest. I couldn't focus on anything else, couldn't think of anything else. Every minute that passed felt like an eternity.Nyx had taken her inside the room to perform some healing on her. And I was waiting patiently for the outcome.Every time I passed by the door, I peeked inside, hoping to see some sign of improvement. But each time, it was the same. Celeste lying there, unmoving, while Nyx attended to her.All I could do was wait and pray. Finally, after what felt like hours, the door opened and Nyx emerged from the room, I practically ran towards her. "How is she? Is she going to be okay?" I asked, my voice shaking with fear and desperation.Nyx looked up at me, and her expression was blank. For a moment, I couldn't read her face, and then she spoke, her voice devoid of emotion. "I'm sorry, Gabriel. Celeste didn't make it. She's gon

She grabbed hold of my shirt, and I felt her claws digging into my skin.Where the hell was Gabriel when I needed him?Just when I thought that all hope was lost and I was about to face certain doom, Nyx appeared out of nowhere, her body beginning to contort and shift into a wolf.Vera growled out loud, recognizing Nyx to be her sister. But I thought wrongVera was also transforming, her body twisting and convulsing until she too had taken on the shape of a massive wolf. The two of them began to circle each other, growling and snarling in a display of primal aggression. • Tangled   Chapter 69

Gabriel’s POVI stood at the edge of the clearing, watching my pack as they played and hunted. They moved with grace and precision that spoke to their strength and skill. I could feel the pride swell within me, and I knew that it was a feeling that was shared by the rest of the pack. We were a family, and we were growing stronger and healthier every day.Being an alpha wasn't easy, but it was a responsibility that I took seriously. As I turned to leave, I saw Neo approaching me with a frown on his face. As he walked closer, his frown deepened, and I knew something was bothering him. Neo was always talking about his girlfriend, Nyx. He would tell anyone who would listen about how amazing she was and how lucky he felt to have her in his life. But as time went on, it became clear that Neo wasn't just in love with Nyx – he was lovesick for her.Every time Nyx wasn't around, Neo's mood would darken. He would become quiet and withdrawn, lost in his thoughts. He would spend hours staring of

  • Tangled   Chapter 68

Lovette’s POVI couldn't believe how quickly the school year had gone by. I had been leading the class, acing every test, and putting in countless hours of studying. But all of that hard work was overshadowed by the fear that had gripped our school. It had started innocently enough. A few students were absent on the first day of school, but we all assumed they were just late enrollees. But as the weeks went on, more and more students went missing. It was as if they had vanished into thin air.At first, I tried not to think too much about it. I had my studies to focus on, after all. But the fear and paranoia that was spreading throughout the school were palpable. I could see it in the eyes of my classmates, in the way they moved through the halls, constantly looking over their shoulders.I tried to rationalize it, to come up with some sort of explanation. Maybe they had all transferred to another school, or maybe they had run away from home. But deep down, I knew something was seriousl

  • Tangled   Chapter 67

Lovette’s POVThat evening, I spent some time with Connor and Tasha. We all sat in the backyard, under the stars, with music playing softly in the background. It was bittersweet, knowing that I was leaving the next day, but also grateful for the time we had together.Connor had prepared my favorite meal, and we all shared stories and laughed together. I knew that I would miss them dearly. As we settled into the comfortable chairs in the backyard, the warm breeze and soft music creating a peaceful atmosphere, Connor asked me how I felt about resuming senior year in high school.I took a deep breath and hesitated for a moment, not entirely sure how to express the mix of emotions I felt about returning to school. "Honestly, it's a bit overwhelming to think about. I mean, I'm excited to see my friends again and finish what I started, but at the same time, I'm nervous about the workload and the pressure of college applications."Connor nodded thoughtfully, his eyes showing understanding.
