“I can’t do an ultrasound like they want, but everything else on this list is a go.” Bella was busy removing things from the bag she had carried with her. “They want a detailed report of your body changes and some samples. I’ve been told that it’s important to get everything on the list because it’s your first heat.”

“None of the other Omegas had this done to them,” I said softly.

Bella glanced at me. “Guess you’re a special Omega then.”

I didn’t like the way she said it. I didn’t like the fact that she was back to being cold towards me after the dinner we shared. She had laughed with me and included me in their conversation, but now that we were alone, it was like she couldn’t get away from me fast enough.

“Take a seat,” Bella ordered. “I need a blood sample.”

Walking over to her, I took a seat on the edge of the bed and held out my arm. I stared at her hand on my arm as she cleaned my skin and searched for a vein.
