“When I asked you to message Bella, I trusted you enough not to snoop through my phone,” he growled. “You not only invaded my privacy but Bella’s too.”

“Hey, doll,” Tyrone called softly. “Can I join you?”

I tugged the blanket lower and opened my eyes to look at him.

Tyrone was hovering in the doorway, staring down at me with a frown. Had Michel told him? When I gave him a nod, he kicked off his boots and carefully stepped over the pillows to join me.

“Are you feeling okay?” he questioned as soon as he was settled next to me.

I nodded.

He reached out and tugged the blanket lower, exposing my whole face.

“Is he gone?” I whispered.

His eyes darkened with anger. “Yes. Did he hurt you?”

“No.”

Reaching out, Tyrone pressed a hand to my forehead and slowly slid it down to my cheek before pulling his hand away.

“How long have you been hiding under these blankets, doll?” he asked. “You’re burning up.”
