CHAPTER FOUR

It was a new day, it came like it couldn't wait for dawn. Teyana’s alarm rang at exactly 7:30 am.

Disturbed by the noise, she was forced to wake up then she put off the alarm.

‘Ding!’ a message just popped up on her screen.

Getting pissed by it she checked what the message was for, and it read.

‘ wake up sleepy head, hope you dreamt of me….. and even if you didn't, remember the weekend plans. I bet you'll surely dream of me’

There was a clear irritated look on Teyana’s face, she couldn't place her thought on who the messenger was.

“Geez man ,WTF is this? Gosh….. so hilarious”

She tossed her phone on the bed before she got to the bathroom to take her shower, once she was done she prepared herself to leave for the office.

“You asked to see me today, what's the problem” Jerome asked.

“It's Datto,” Teyana replied.

“ what about him……wait don't tell me that scoundrel is hurting you, have you told your dad”

Jerome threw questions at her, not giving her space to reply his question until she forcefully cuts in.

“ Hey relax ok. He didn't hurt me but he's threatening to hurt cee if I don't dissolve our partnership…... Jerome am as confused as fuck honestly”

Hearing this got Jerome so angry that he yelled so loudly almost bringing the building down.

“That bastard, he better thank his stars I despise the force and don't even know any high personnel in the military……..I would have taught him a lesson”

Moving away from her office table, she stood a few feet opposite him, crossing her hands

“You and I both know the only reason why he's acting this way is because dad thinks he's the perfect son-in-law and husband for me plus he's dad and my dad are friends and they're big gigs in the military.”

“So what do you think we should do cause am definitely not buying the idea of withdrawing from this deal” Jerome asked.

“I don't know J, that's why I'm asking you for one” she said agitating.

“Ok…….we need to get tons of security around you, lots of military escorts, you need to employ house helps and a nanny at your home. Teyana you need people around you this period”

Jerome's suggestion seems like it wasn't helping at all, Teyana hissed as she unfolds her hands trying to catch her breath.

“Are you trying to kill me right now?” she questioned with wild eyes.

“ How do you mean by……..”

Not letting him finish his sentence she cuts in

“Are you serious right now? Come on J , have you forgotten my dad’s position in the military. The moment he finds out am requesting for security from the military, he’ll make sure Datto stalks me twenty four seven and I won’t want that. That asshole will have the leverage of knowing my in and outs and the people I associate my self with , besides he’s done a lot of dirty shit so I won’t talk to any other guy except him, wouldn’t want cee to be his next victim”

The thought of ways to handle the situation was driving her nuts. She sat on the couch opposite the table.

Just as they were thinking of ways to curb the situation, Teyana’s phone began to ring.

She hurriedly walked over to the table to get it out from her bag, it was an unknown caller. Seeing the reaction from her face Jerome seemed to have sensed something off then he asked.

“ what’s wrong , why aren’t you picking your calls”

There was a bit of silence before she replied.

“ ………uhmmm, I don’t know. It’s an unknown caller”

“Just pick the call, put it on loudspeaker just to be sure” Jerome suggested.

Teyana nodded her head before proceeding to do it. Just before she could utter a word when she picked the call,a voice came in, a male voice.

“ Am giving you 10 seconds to get to the boardroom”

That voice , it sounded familiar. The both of them starred at each other as the authoritative voice sent a bit of fear down their spines.

On realizing who’s voice that was, Jerome quickly urged Teyana to go to the boardroom without further delay.

“ fuck!, girl you gotta go”

“Hell no, I ain’t going nowhere. Geez”

They were still arguing why she would go to the boardroom when her door buzzed open with a heavy bang.

Both of them were frightened at the sight of who was at the door, saying in jinx “ Central Cee!”

“ Mr Jerome could you please leave, I want to have a harmless talk with Teyana”

Without any hesitation, Jerome left the place, shutting the door which was swung ajar.

“You didn’t reply to my message this morning,” Cee said.

He moved so close to Teyana that their breath was hot on each other’s skin. Cee could sense the fear in her yet it seemed like he was pleased by it.

“ So you're the unfortunate soul that sent me a sad creepy olden text” She replied.

She summoned courage before she could look him eye to eye before speaking.

“And why should I reply you” she asked

Cee laughed loudly that he nearly fell to the ground before he questioned.

“ Hold on Teyana,….. “ he said trying not to laugh again.

“ You see, That’s why I admire you” he choked her romantically on her neck then leaned closer to whisper in her left ear.

“I don't chase women I want, they go after me, they plead for my body and soul. I know your type and I will get you”

Teyana smirked , she seductively replied him in a whisper, the voice he wanted to hear in the other room.

“ Am sorry Cee, you won’t get me. Neither will I crave for your body and soul like them, rather you’ll yearn to get not just between my legs but to officially be my man”
