Chapter 8: Dinner Date Approval

"Good evening, you didn't tell me you were busy with other things, that's why you couldn't go to work today?" Gideon sarcastically asked Isabel, his face solemn.

"Could you leave? Derek might return, and I don't want him to see you."

"What happens if I don't?"

Isabel smirked. "If you don't leave, I won't go back to the Resort."

"How are you going to pay me?"

"I'll find a way, if only I could go back to the bar-"

"What is your concern about that?"

Gideon gave her a heartfelt look. "I'll leave here but promise to return to work at the Resort tomorrow."

Isabel became silent. She is wondering why this man is concerned about her and how she pays back. She doesn't have a choice, though.
