Millie is just the average high school kid, or so she thought, until she receives news from her mother about her father. Now she's in a race against time to save someone she loves dearly.

Prologue
I'm sure most of you guys have heard about demigods. Kids born to gods and a mortal (human), with super powers, extremely good looks (me, as an example), yada yada, blah blah. And I'm fairly sure you read them in books and you were like, oh, those can't be actually real, they're fictive and stuff.
Wellllll, we exist, same way gods exist. Don't be so shocked, I'm sure you were secretly wishing for such already. I assure you, I was as shocked as you are too when I first learned anyway. My name is Emily 'Millie' Thorn. 17 years old. I'm 5'4 ( even though I tell people it's 5'6. It's not like people know the difference anyway). So I'm fairly short. I'm on the petite side, slim but not to the point of being blown away by a sudden gust of wind. I stay with my mom, Isabella, and our cat, fluffy. I didn't know who my dad was prior to the time I started this journal, so I'd always thought he was dead or something since Mom never speaks about him. You're about to find out why. I'm not the most athletic person, but my best friend, Kevin, is. That dude participates in like 5 million different sports. I don't know how he does it, I'm pretty sure I don't even want to know. It's not like I can't do sports, I'm just too... lazy? to do it. I'm not particularly lazy, I'm just on energy saving mode. Anywayyyyyyyyy, I'm about to take you through the journey of a lifetime. I ran. Then stopped. " Kel, why are you not running?" "Running from what?" He looked confused. Does he not see that we're in danger? " Can you not see? " The monster has stopped too. More like waiting. " All I can see is this nice lady asking why we need to go to the beach without your mom" Nice lady? It dawned on me that Kel couldn't see the monster. How in hell can he help me if he can't even see what we're fighting. My first thought about Greece was HOT. I mean, the guys are hot (I don't think much about guys, so me saying that means it is entirely true. The actual reason though, is the fact that it's like a zillion degrees here. I started sweating the minute we got down from the plane. I looked at Mom and Kel and I can see that they're not fairing any better than I am. Everybody else though we're walking around like it's not a 100°. They must be used to it. I think coming from where it's almost constantly drizzling contribute to the intensity at which the heat hit (ha!),and I'm sure we'll get used to it soon.
