"What do you suggest that we do?" Seraphim said one night while keeping her hands busy rearranging some clothes.

Draegon, who was on the bed with a book, covered it partially, as his finger was set in the middle to prevent the page he was reading from being covered up.

"About Valen?"

Seraphim nodded, lines of worry spread across her forehead as she brought out the matter again.

"I am scared that she might just decide to do something stupid again. She always comes up with the most inconvenient solutions to solving problems. I suggest that we should lock her up..."

"Seraphim," Draegon called her softly, "Calm down. Remember that she is our daughter, not a random animal, okay? We can't lock her up. She needs her freedom to go anywhere. You've also been keeping an eye on her, that should be enough. I will also put her by myself every time so she wouldn't be able to sneak off." He assured her.

Just when he thought the conversation would die, his mate wouldn't relat

"Star, my dear," Seraphim said with a struggle as Gold entered the room. She was about to stand up but because of her weakness, she fell back. Gold rushed towards her and supported her until she was sitting back comfortably. "Aunt, please you have to take good care of yourself."Seraphim coughed, "Yeah. I am trying to. Any letters from Valen? Did she send you anything?" She asked, but the glimpse of hope in her eyes vanished when Gold slowly shook her head. "Nothing yet, Aunt."Star had not gotten the chance to converse with Valen ever since the day they fought. It was only to her surprise when she found out that she had gone back to the Lycanis. "Are you two still fighting? Did she not settle things with you before she left?" Seraphim blew her nose. Star felt her hand get taken into Seraphim's soft yet weak ones. "Not really," "What was the fight about? I feel like there was more to the fight than what I'm seeing now. Will you tell me what it was about

  • That Was No Prince: She fooled the Lycanis   HEARTY TALK

"Do you not want to speak to your father anymore?" Rhydian asked that night after Valen helped with dressing him for bed. She adjusted his robe but only answered the question after she tied the ropes around his waist She met his curious gaze "I had to ask because I know for a fact that you are attached to your father but it has been days since you came back..." "I am not happy that I am not with him, Rhydian. So yes, you're right about that. Every night that I go to bed, I can't help but question my legitimacy as his child. He must hate me by now." "He must hate that you're siding with the monsters. His enemies."Valen smirked, a line of sadness appearing on her forehead. "Everything happens for a reason, Rhydian. I am not giving up on him though. I believe he can still understand what I mean but now might not be the perfect time." She answered. Rhydian sat down on the bed and sighed. That was such a good relationship between the father and daughter. Valen

Iza pushed the few people blocking his way so that AJ could have a clearer view. Indeed, the two guards' bodies were right there, dried blood on their faces. Iza frowned as his head turned, his eyes checking the surroundings as if the perpetrators might still be around. "Get the bodies back to the palace." He ordered the guards that had come with him and they did so, matching ahead of him. Iza was in deep thought.Who could be behind this? This was the second death that they'd experience. The first one was the teenagers from months ago. From the looks of the bodies that the guards were carrying, they were not attacked the same way the teenagers were. This one particularly happened in the environment not inside the forest or across the border. They had no claw marks on their bodies, which leaves him with only one option: they were killed with their swords. But why? Who was the murderer going around and committing these atrocities? Was it the same murderer, perhaps, or a

Just like the man had predicted, Iza came back. He tried finding his way but he mostly could end up with guesses. When he looked around at the shops, they were just normal ones. The room they took him to last night? He was sure that it was from a building. From a house but which one? Where? He was getting eaten up by the thoughts of not knowing anything. He looked around coldly and everyone who had been looking at him quickly turned their eyes away. That made it extremely difficult too.Because he was sure that one of the men must be looking at him right now. But he was too dumb to notice them. Especially the one who sexually assaulted him. He moved closer, asking the men to speak for no reason. They had no choice but to speak. But none of them sounded like what he expected. After displaying in what seemed to have been total confusion right in their presence, he headed back to the palace. "Is he okay?" "I am not sure, "Another man replied back in softness, afraid that

Iza's heart skipped a beat. "Huh?" "You heard me correctly. Could you help me take it back? That throne belongs to me. Rhydian has had enough of that seat. I am done watching him play with the lives of our people and our tradition..." "No... no, I won't. This looks all fishy. Why do you think I will do it? I have sworn an oath of allegiance to the King, I won't betray." The man laughed, "That was soothing to hear. But I love the confidence. However, you didn't swear it to the King, you swore it to the throne. You don't owe the King. It's the throne you owe. It's the throne you're to worship and protect, not the King. The throne and its people. Moreover, it's not as if Rhydian cares about you either way." Iza's heart sank after hearing that. "If you and Aldridge were in danger, the first person he would have thought of saving would have been no one else but Aldridge. You're seen as the little troublemaker in the family, that one person who can't handle important

  • That Was No Prince: She fooled the Lycanis   A COOKED DEAL

Iza walked into the DRUNK HOUSE that night.Just like the name stipulated, it was a party house where all kinds of drinks were available. People usually came there to have some fun and waste themselves.Iza wasn't a fan of such but he still came once in a while... whenever he was going to clear his mind. He was recognized by the attendees, and he was given maximum respect, too. He was a lunatic after all, so anything that was going to incur his anger was definitely not on their list. He requested drinks and he was given. He sat at a corner and watched the people dance and waste themselves even more. There was a group of singers playing a few musical instruments to help the party be more lively. Iza was clearly uninterested. After he was done drinking the whole cup he had requested, he returned the cup to the counter. "Send the bill to the palace. I have nothing on me now."The woman who was the owner of the place cackled hysterically even when nothing initially brought that
