Chapter 7
Seraphim
“The Alpha passed an announcement that every single room of our guests should be searched thoroughly for an important item which has recently gone missing. Anyone who doesn't comply with our search will be sent to the lion's den, and a message will be sent to her pack.” I heard the guard's voice followed by a feminine scream.
Just the thought of that made me cringe. The fact that he won't hesitate to have anyone killed, even though he had intentionally invited every one of us.
Before I could think twice, I was instantly grabbed by my nanny, whose expression had turned strange. “Miss, what do you think is the important item that got a whole Alpha Silas to pass down the announcement?” She asked.
I was confused because I couldn't figure out what my nanny meant until she stared in a particular direction, which I followed, and it's on the injured yet sleepy phoenix.
“But, Nanny Janet, I don't think they had classified a living phoenix as an item. And besides, not like I stole the phoenix. It got injured and it could have lost its life. And as a kind person, I ought to save it.” I said confidently as I don't see any reason to panic.
“Miss, shouldn't you be worried? What if something goes wrong and things doesn't go the way you thought it had to go?” She asked worriedly but I smiled at her without thinking much.
“You've taken care of the injuries right?” I asked when a loud bang was heard from the door.. which means those guards were standing right outside the room.
“You should hide, Mrs Janet. I wouldn't want to bring you down with me in case the search is about the phoenix.” I whispered and quickly pushed her away.
“Order from the Alpha. Everyone should step out of their rooms, or we'll forcefully break the door open.” I heard the guard's warning from the outside.
I breathed in and out and quickly pulled the door open, faking a sleeping expression, “What's going on? Is this how you people disturb your invited guests?”
“We are only carrying out tasks based on the Alpha's order. If you are not comfortable with that young lady, you might as well return to your pack.”
“Not like she's wanted here anyway!” Another one chirped in before roughly pushing me aside.
“Search every inch of the room!” The guard who seemed to be the leader ordered as he sat on the bed with crossed legs with a cunning smile playing at the corner of her lips.
“This smells nice!” The leader sniffed my night gown which was lying on the bed. I couldn't believe my eyes that a random guard would be that disgusting.
“Do you know the kind of people I hate most?” I asked with a chuckle as I stepped towards him with a fearless expression. I felt like slicing off that damn nose the pervert had used to sniff my night gown.
“No, and I do not wish to know. But maybe the kind of people you hate should be your father because he's but a betrayal and a shrimp!” he said that the remaining guards on standby began laughing hysterically.
I wasn't moved by that. I do not care. “I hate betrayal but I find a pervert like you disgusting!” I said and spat on him.
“That's gross bitch!” He cursed, wiping off the spit off his head but that only made me laugh.
He looked shocked! But not only him. The other guards looked more shocked as they couldn't believe their eyes. Maybe that was the first time someone would do that to their leader but who cares? Because I don't.
“Grab that bitch now!” He roared in anger as the three remaining guards, apart from the others who were searching the whole room for whatever they were looking for.
“I am a guest here! If anything happens to me, I hope you all are ready to be held accountable, huh?!” I said coldly, hoping to put fear in them, and just like I expected, they were scared and couldn't get close to me, but their leader wasn't.
“Don't listen to that bitch! Have you forgotten how her pack betrayed us years ago? So who is going to hold us accountable? None!”
“Well, you can try and s….” My words were left hanging in the air as I was interrupted by the sudden appearance of the guards.
The guard rushed towards the seated leader and whispered some words into his ears. And I noticed the so-called leader's expression changed instantly, and what followed was a sly smirk.
“You came for the bride selection but yet dared to hide a man in your room. An unmarried lady hides a man in her guest chamber? How do you think the news will be when it's making headlines?” he asked, leaving me in confusion.
I have never once been that confused, I was confused, speechless, and I ended up looking like a fool. “What does the guard mean by a man? A man was hidden inside my room?”
“And where's the man?” I asked, trying to stay calm. And of course, there isn't a way I would buy that fucking bullshit.
“The man is unconscious with injuries. Don't tell me you're trying to play innocent that you ain't aware of who is unconscious was hidden under the table, huh?” he said with a chuckle.
“Don't worry, you can desperately beg me to show you mercy. Who knows if I might be able to plead with the Alpha not to kill you and let me have you as my sex slave. Isn't it better than dying like that?” The leader said, whispering the last part.
I clenched my fist tightly feeling nothing but anger in me. I hated his guy, I hated everything about him. I could feel his hand roaming through my neck as he pulled my long, silky hair to the other side while kissing my neck.
“I am sure the Alpha is on his way here. You can still plead for mercy.” He whispered, his disgusting breath lacing over my skin..
I was utterly disgusted. I let him do whatever he was doing. He was sniffing every inch of me while his fingers had begun trailing down. He was about to slide his hand inside my dress.
And within a jiffy of seconds, I landed a heavy punch on his face making the sore loser cry hard in pain. “Even though a man was found in my room. I do not know anything about the man and I am still waiting to see the so-called man.And I would rather cry and ask my enemy for help than cry to a sore pervert like you. And know your place, your place, you're nothing but a low rank guard!” I yelled in his face, feeling more annoyed than ever.
“You bitch! Get hold of her!” he ordered and I was mercilessly pinned down on the floor by the guards.

Slap
I spat out blood after being slapped hard for the third time by the leader. I glare hard at him. “You dare beat up one of your Alpha guests. I doubt your whole generation will be able to pay the price!”
“Price,” he muttered confidently.
“If you're lucky enough and the Alpha asked me, I would say you tried to run off the moment we found your lover hidden was in your room. Simple as that.”
“How dare you, worthless piece of trash!”
“What's going on here?” A cold yet authoritative voice was heard from the entrance of the room. The same man I had seen beside the Alpha.
Even without anyone telling me, I know he's the Alpha beta. But there's something about this man that feels strange. The atmosphere around him, his gaze, everything screams strange.
I don't know if I am overthinking but the pain I had felt earlier today inside the hall. Strangely, I feel it has something to do with the man. But at the same time, I couldn't help thinking I could be overthinking everything.
I divert my attention away from him, hoping that no matter their search, they wouldn't be able to figure out Nanny Janet's hidden place.
I watched the so-called leader of the guards run to the Beta and whisper some words into his ears. Strangely, after that, he looked at me before following the guard inside fully.
In the same direction as the guard who had announced that a man had come from earlier.. By now, I could feel my heart throbbing heavily.
“Who is the man?”
“What is the man doing inside my room?”
“And how did the man get inside my room?”
I have only seen things like this in dramas, but who could have thought this kind of messy situation would happen, and not to anyone but me?
Damn! The whole scenario still seems like a movie to me.
Startled, Olivia turned around and sighed in relief upon seeing the person, it was no other person than her best friend, Annie.“Annie, you scared the hell out of me.” She muttered, reliving a sigh of relief in the air. “What are you thinking about? Besides, Olivia, I thought we agreed to wait for me at the entrance. I can't believe you left before my arrival.” Annie pouted sadly as she looked at the empty seat beside her best friend. “I know it might sound like a lie. But I tried to wait for you but I wasn't expecting to see our classmates at the entrance. She directed me here,” Olivia said calmly with her puppy look.Even though Annie was a bit angry, upon seeing the puppy look at Olivia, her anger melted and instantly changed to a giggle from both ends. By the time you'll be reading this message, I'll be at the airport then.” I clenched my fist as I read the message Audrey had sent to me. I couldn't believe my eyes as I read the message while trying my best to stay composed as I could. “Master, what's your next plan?”“Madam is still waiting for your wife on the hospital bed, master,” Tony said to me but I couldn't bring myself to say anything, I was still trying to recover from the shock. Chapter 28Nanny Janet Everyone among the female guests has returned except my Miss. I have stood guard at the entrance of the door just to make sure I would see her faster to ease my worrisome look. The more I stand guard at the door, the darker it gets. I could only pace to and fro not knowing what to do. It got to a stage where I couldn't endure it anymore, and I could only think of what to do, and decided on the other guest. I figured out that they would be in the dining room meant for the guests. There has always been a dining room for all the female guests who came for the bride selection, but my lady has chosen to eat inside her room instead. Maybe that was the reason she never made a single friend. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, and I found myself standing a few inches away from the dining room. I could hear them giggling among themselves with some of their maids standing guard outside. I mustered up courage and made my way towards the entrance but I was instant
Julianne “Mister, I don't know if you need a bride?” I mustered to say but the man only looked cold without any expression on his face. For a second, I thought if I was making the right decision, but thinking about it once again, I believed in it as much as I wouldn't end up with Ethan. Then any choice made is the best. The man in front of me looked aloof and cold. He looks as if he does at me like some strange crazy woman. It was as if he never believed he would ever encounter a shameless person like her.And that's a little bit understandable because who on earth goes around asking if he or she needs a bride or groom? Only me! Since the man wasn't making any attempt to speak, instead of making another fool of myself, I turned around and made to leave. “Let's get it done!” His cold voice echoed right into my ears, making me stunned as I turned back to look at the man with an unbelievable expression. “Do you mean it, Mister?” I asked, my eyes beaming with happiness. It was as if
