Chapter 21

Penelope’s pov

I found how they arranged themselves to be poetic, to say the least. The men and women, some stayed in different corners, some stayed together. Then the children were in one corner and teenagers in another. Old women, men, married couples, in different corners. And then I could see warriors in different seats.

It was filled with a lot, and in a different row that was colored a different color, they had elders there with people that I knew were healers.

The beta was seated at the head but the alpha was missing.

He looked around with a worried look on his face before getting up and walking out.

He was the only one I knew in this goddamn place and now he was gone. Fuck.

I looked for a seat that was at the edge and sat down as I was biding my time. There was no need for me to join them yet. I was still a stranger, plus I was trying to avoid anybody insulting me or talking to me like I was made of trash.
