Chapter 8:  The Calm Before the Storm

Allona’s POV:

“Oh, I forgot to thank him!” I exclaimed as I suddenly remembered. With all the topsy curvy emotions that happened, it went back at the back of my head.

‘I hope we’ll cross paths again Mr. Black Wolf.’ I thought. I felt a sense of loss somehow, like someone very dear is walking out from my life. ‘What a weird thought but I hope I'm just mistaken.’

My wolf Rufina seemed a bit unsettled. My wolf and I will also need to talk later. There are things that I’m suspicious about and need to be clarified with, and I think my wolf knew the answers to it.

I turned to Ronnie again. He seemed a bit better compared to earlier, but he still looked unwell.

‘What happened to you, Ronnie boy?’ I asked worriedly as I carefully ruffled his fur.

I mindlinked with him. I am grateful that I was able to discover this ability to communicate with my pack and mindlink with them even if they are in wolf’s form and I’m in my human form.
