Chapter 33

FLINT.

He frowned for a while and drank the remaining whiskey in the cup in front of him and wiped his mouth roughly before looking at me.

“You are insane, Flint! I am not in love with your woman!” He said, and I sighed. I closed my eyes, and I thought about it.

I am very positive that Kiara was the woman he loved. What changed? I am his closest friend, and I know him thoroughly, and I could tell from the look in his eyes towards Kiara.

I can tell he has something in his heart for her, and I am very positive.

“So what changed?” I thought, and he spoke up.

“You told me that she was the one your parents wanted for you. She was also in love with you, and I let go! So yes, I am not in love with your wife.

I am a respected man, and I have my prestige to uphold, so I am not interested in your woman!” He said, and I smiled.

“Finally he says what I was waiting for!” I thought, and I opened my eyes. 

“My brother, what if I tell you that you don't need to keep to yourself! You don't need to burn the feelings because I can think of a way out for you!” I said, and he stared at me.

“Let go of this matter; I don't want to hear any stupid suggestions from you!” He said, and I chuckled.

“Calm down! I am doing this for our favor; it is a win-win situation! I am sure you will not be discouraged about the situation!” I said, and he didn't say anything anymore, and I could tell he was expecting me to say what was in my mind!

“Well, you like Kiara, and I want to pursue Amy. Come, and I will arrange you both together, and it will be a cover-up to bring Amy back!” I said, and his face widened.

“Are you mad? Who says something like that? Are you having trouble using your senses? What do you take me for?” He yelled, and I rolled my eyes.

He is always so dramatic; it's not so bad!

“I'm serious, this is me giving you what you want!” I said, and he laughed.

“What do I want? Who told you I am still after Kaira? I am over that, man, and I am not taking on your wife! I am not!” He said, and I sighed.

“I know it sounds crazy, but this is for our benefit. You get to find the woman you want, and for me, I get Amy! It is a win-win; think about it!” He said.

“You are delusional!’ He yelled at me and laughed.

“And where is Amy now?” He asked, and I sighed and looked away.

“She was taken away by King Charles!” I replied, and this time he spat out his alcohol immediately. 

“What?!” he exclaimed, and I rolled my eyes immediately.

“Tell me this fully; stop giving me the details in short form!” He said, and I sighed, draining the leftover alcohol in my cup.

“I rejected her as my mate so I could marry Kiara, and guess what she did! She accepted! She fucking accepted my rejection! How dare she accept my rejection!” I said, Move forward and sit properly on the chair.

“Flint, are you mad? Can you listen to yourself! You rejected her! What do you want from the girl? Do you want her to hang on and not move on? You rejected her; of course, she was going to accept it!” He yelled.

“You don't understand!” I replied to him, and he struggled so hard to let out his remaining words.

“Then make me understand; I want to understand why you don't want her to reject you. I want to know why you as an Alpha can reject her and she is not allowed to reject you!” He questioned me, and I sighed, without anything to say for now.

“Who does that! Are you even thinking about what you are saying at all?” He yelled.

“She knew I loved her. She loves me! She was meant to do everything to fight for my love. She was meant to hang on still!” I said, and he looked at me for a long while.

He went quiet and rested his back against the sofa, and I could feel that he was finally supporting me. He finally sees things from my point of view! Finally!

“Imagine, she got the audacity and accepted my rejection in the dungeon, and she was almost raped by the guards,” I said, and he still didn't have any reaction; he sat down speechless. 

“I didn't know. I wish I had gotten there first, but that bastard, King Charles, got there, saved her, and now he has claimed her. He has claimed her as his mate, and I am angry,” I added.

“I am so pissed,” I yelled, almost smashing my cup, but I threw my cigarette away.

“I want her back! She is mine. Even if she is suffering, as long as she is with me, she is mine. She should have stayed with me.” I added, 

My heart felt ripped as I was speaking; it was like I could see her face again and again. I just wanted her to come back to me.

This time I don't mind making her my mistress; she is my mate after all. She is meant to be mine and mine alone.

“Love comes with a lot of risk. I love her, but I have to marry Kiara for my parents, and she just left! Who does that!” I yelled, and he picked up the cup and smashed it on the floor.

I was stunned seeing this reaction from him. What the hell is wrong with him!

“You are insane!” he said, and I was taken aback. Even though I am the Alpha of this clan, he is my best friend, and he speaks however he feels like!

“I have finally realized that not only are you insane, you are delusional! Did you listen to the crap you just said? Did you realize that you are nothing but running mad! He yelled.
