Chapter Six

Oma's POV.

I dragged Yara through the hallway down to my room to get her changed into something more presentable, not wanting to talk about the comprising situation I had found she and Mauris I just went over to my cupboard and picked her an outfit.

I stood in front of my cupboard and heaved, I didn't own many feminine attires as I was usually on duties most times. I glanced over my shoulder to see if I could get out something for her size, she was just about my height and size with the main difference being that her curves were quite defined while mine were just not really feminine.

I scrambled through the pile of clothes in my cupboard looking for something feminine when I found a gown, it was a peach colored flare gown I had worn just once during a banquet few months ago.

Well it didn't look bad and seemed like she would fit into it easily .

I handed her the gown and turned my back towards her to give her privacy. After some minutes she cleared her throat signaling to me that she was dressed.

“ Thank you.” She mumbled shyly.

I turned to her and I must admit that the looked better on her that it did on me .

" Perfect." I said while I moved over to the dressing table to pick up a brush for her hair and handed it her.

I wasn't a fan of make-up so all I had was a clear lipgloss which I also gave her to apply on her lips .

When she was done I started at her with inward happiness remembering all the praise that Alpha Kylie had rained on me. I had completed the assignment of finding his mate within a short period of time.

I was carried away in my thoughts when Yara's voice brought me back to life.

" Do I look that pretty?." She asked innocently obviously thinking I was smiling because of her appearance .

I didn't want to tell her that I was thinking about something else so I just told her how pretty she looked and watched as her face beamed with a smile .

It was time to go since Kylie would be waiting for her already so I walked her down to the hallway of Kylie's room and told her to go inside. She looked at me still confused but obeyed me anyways.

I stood a safe distance away from Alpha Kylie's door and watched as Yara walk in. She was still oblivious to what was happening and her expression and reactions said it all.

The poor creature.

Her legs were shaking as if they were too weak to carry the weight of her body .

At some point I felt tempted to tell her the details I knew to ease her mind and let her know that she was in safe hands but I knew that it was not in my place to tell her about that. Alpha Kylie would be in a better position to narrate everything to her.

I started pacing up and down the hallway with rage filling me up whenever I remembered the scene I had witnessed in Mauris's room.

What the hell was she doing there in the first place!.

I asked myself them I remembered what she said about feeling a certain pull to go to that room.

Kylie must've been in that room previously.

I thought to myself as that was the only reasonable explanation I could think of, they were mates after all.

Something in me felt the urge to tell Alpha Kylie about the incident but I couldn't bring myself to do so. Not only might it affect the relationship between Kylie and Mauris.

But I didn't want anything that would ruin my efforts, I had put in a lot of efforts into finding Alpha Kylie's mate and nothing or nobody not even the stupid action of Mauris would let that effort go to waste.

With that thought in my head, I pushed the thought of telling Alpha Kylie about the incident to the back of mind.

" He didn't need to know." I said to myself and smiled assuring myself that all will be well until suddenly my thoughts were interrupted by a feminine voice which I recognized.

It was Maggie.

" Hey Oma!." She said with her sweet voice.

I would've preferred that she addressed with a little more respect because although we were around the same age I was a warrior. Simply put while she was busy doing her princess act, I was out in the fields training and learning martial arts, military acts, the art of war and basic essentials that made me one of the strongest warriors in the pack.

" Hey Maggie." I said back to her with a faint smile.

" I saw you sneak a lady into the pack house. Who is she?." Maggie asked curiously.

I looked at her not knowing what response to give her. I wasn't obligated to tell her about Yara and honestly I don't think it's any of her fucking business so I just told her plainly that it was none of her business .

Maggie was quiet for a while before she asked me again, this time in a more polite manner as if she had sensed the fact that I didn't like the way she usually spoke to me. While sounding very polite she also had a tingle of eagerness in her voice so I decided to tell her who Yara is.

" She's Alpha Kylie's mate whom we just found." I said.

" Whom we just found or you probably mean to say whom you just found? Judging by the fact that you're the only one I've seen with her, I believe you're the one that brought her here." Maggie said.

I smiled at Maggie's words and told her the most important thing was the fact that her brother had found his Luna and he could now reclaim his throne but Maggie's response shocked me.

" Don't you think you've just blown up your chance to be with my brother?.” She said, her voice now harsh as she rolled her eyes in disgust. “ It's obvious even to the blind that you have feelings for him." She blurted out.
