Fifty One

Mauris POV.

Earlier this morning, I woke up startled at the noise of my phone buzzing on the drawer besides the bed, I quickly picked it up to avoid waking Yara up, she slept so peacefully in my arms, the mind-blowing sex we had last night must have worn her out. I read the name of the screen, it was my Dad, I relaxed back into the bed as I answered the call, wondering why he would call me so early in the morning.

"Meet me in my office in a few minutes." His authoritative voice boomed out of the phone. He hung up immediately, not bothering to check if I had heard him or not. I slipped out of bed, without waking Yara up and got dressed. By the time I was done, it was a few minutes after seven. I snuck out of the room, closing the door gently behind me and made my way to the packing lot.

A couple of minutes afterwards, I pulled up in front of the headquarters, tossed my keys to the valet and headed inside. The office was still very much empty, not all the employees had resumed their wor
