I pace back and forth in the guest room that Alpha Jack had set up for me in the wing for visiting Alphas and the image of Divina leaning into Greg’s kiss assaults my mind. “Fuck!” I roar and scrub my hands over my face. The ache in my chest intensifies and I close my eyes and breathe through the pain. I can’t handle a world where she is with someone else. Suddenly, I have the need to run and try to call Nox forward, but he is still ignoring me. “Fine, Asshole! I’ll run on two legs then,” I mutter to myself and raise the window. I slip out onto the roof and walk to the edge to gage how high up I am. Piece of cake, I think, and step off the roof and land lightly on the ground. I glance up at the ledge three stories up before taking off in a sprint to the forest that hugs the edge of the clearing near the pack house.
