Chapter 69

As the last verse faded into the air, we remained silent, savoring the lingering echoes of the poem. "Oh Rurac, that's so beautiful," I said with tears welling up in my eyes. We sat there together in a comforting silence when a sudden wave of drowsiness washed over me, enveloping my senses. The fatigue was overwhelming, and before I knew it, I succumbed to its embrace, my consciousness slipping away. I heard a light thud and immediately knew I had fallen accompanied by Rurac's fading worried voice calling out to me.

When I regained consciousness, I found myself back in our room. The soft glow of a dimly lit corner caught my attention, and I turned my gaze to see Rurac sitting there, engrossed in his phone. He was probably scrolling online for something. He seemed to have noticed my awakening as he quickly stood up and hurried to my side.

"Hey, you're awake," Rurac said, his voice filled with concern. "Are you feeling alright? Do you need anything?"
