CHAPTER 04

Just like those maggots that she used to kill for her meals, suddenly, she opened her eyes and jumped as high as she could. When she noticed that she was being tied tightly, she struggled so hard to free herself from the restriction. She managed to break free from the vine, but she accidentally cut her skin in the process. She could feel the pain in her leg where her blood was clearly starting to run down, but she cared less about it. Her only goal is to get back to her family—the huge black mice. As of now, she couldn't ask for anything but the chance of getting back to her secluded, yet secured home. Ready to escape, she furiously turned around. But was terrified upon seeing the man whose face was covered with a mustache that reached to his chest. The man was so close to her that she panicked.

“Shït! Ahhh! It hurts!” yelled the man. The girl attacked him with all of the strength she gathered with her claw-like nail. She was still under the influence of the sedative but her wild blood and the will to survive was fighting the effect and pain.

“You should have cut those disgusting nails first!” shouted the young man. While fighting the urge to run and defend himself, or just kill the girl and disobey his higher ups once and for all.

“Crap! From my calculations, we still have plenty of minutes left! She should still be sleeping now!” exclaimed Will. Will was trying to find a way to stop the girl. More on looking for another part of that girl's body that he could peirce.

“Well, what happened then? Shït. It's painful!” exclaimed the man who was trying to wash away the blood that came from the scratch on his face. He was cleaning it like he had just contracted a contagious illness.

“Come on! It's just a scratch! Hurry and chase after her! Stop acting like a girl! Will, go get another shot of sedative! Double its dosage to knock that thing down for days.” As of now. They were no longer concerned about the girl's health. They were more concerned about their reputation. The great warriors who couldn't even handle a scrawny little girl.

“Why don't you just let her run away? She's not even that important. Is she relevant?” The leader massaged his temple and was trying to calm himself. Trying not to get pissed.

“Just do as I say, Will. The Alpha can decide when he comes back. For now, let's try to make everything work,” said the leader feeling frustrated.

“Fine!” After a brief moment, the leader closed his eyes and tried to track the girl’s scent. A smile crept to his lips for he could obviously smell the blood coming from the girl's wound. It was blood mixed with Will’s handmade liquid soap. Making the girl a locked in target. The scent was allowing him to see clearly. Like the girl is just standing in front of him.

“Tano! Suba! Kleon! Listen up! The girl was running fast and was now meters and meters away on the east side. Go and use your head! Track her scent, you idïöts! This island is not that big. She'll be running circles and she won't even notice it!” With that being said, the three men ran to the east aiming to capture her by hook or by crook.

Little did they know that the girl can also vividly smell them even miles away due to the open space.

“Hisss!” She hissed and was trying to squeak as loud as she could so that the other mice would hear her and could assist with the situation. But the girl suddenly stumbled and fell. She was now squeaking in pain even though she's enduring it to the extent. The girl lifted her foot with eyes wide open. She could clearly see the piece of wood piercing in between the neck and cervical spine of her foot. With a shaking hand, she tried to pull it out, which caused her to sweat profusely. But to her disappointment, she wasn't able to pull it which only added to the pain. The more she tries moving the wood away, the more painful it becomes. She was helpless with her situation.

“Yeah! The smell of blood is getting stronger! She must be near!” The girl’s eyes began to move even faster as she's speeding, burning away her drifting strength.

“The air is getting stinkier too, haha!” The echoing laugh was even agitating her. It's as if piercing a part of her body and flesh.

She was terrified of hearing those voices that were getting nearer and nearer. So, without a choice, she started crawling with her two hands and one foot. She was trying so hard that her sweat and tears were mixing. While still moving away, the girl’s senses became more and more active, until she sense a presence that she couldn't explain why it didn't bother her. Instead, she's being comforted, the sudden mind and heart dilemma began forming inside her. She looked around.

“Alpha Kaylon is here! He's back with those pack members who tried to escape!” The scattered remaining men began to line up and gather in one place.

Hearing the voice again, the girl was beyond determined to get away. Her blood was dripping while exerting too much force on her leg where she had gotten wounded earlier. But her steps halted and became stiff because of something strange. She started looking around for it. Her nose and mouth were moving on its own. The smell and presence was trying to take over her sanity and caused her to be lost for a moment not even thinking about running away.

“Got you!” Before she could even notice it, she was being lifted effortlessly in the air. In an instant, she could feel calmness in her relentless wandering soul. The girl closed her eyes firmly and enjoyed the blissful moment. It was new to her. Even though the feeling was strange, she couldn't help but submit to it. As of the moment, the girl was showing her full weakness to someone she didn't even know. To someone she didn't even see the face and associated with her.

“Alpha Kaylon!” The four men grasped as they were staring at the huge man who stood six-feet-ten-inches tall and was wearing full combat armor. They know that the armor was personally made and was able to resist silver weapons. The man's expensive cloaks were dancing in the cold air that added superiority to his presence. As his long black hair dangled with the dancing wind, his overwhelming presence was oozing despite not doing anything.

“I wonder why you couldn't catch her. Is your thorough training not enough? Why is she bleeding so much?” Everyone was wondering about their Alpha's reaction. They didn't expect this scene. Their Alpha is not a fan of girls. Not even women. He has bedded women before, but still, he's absolutely picky ever since their Luna died when they were mercilessly attacked, which caused their pack to drastically decrease in number and lose their family members.
