41. Omega on the run.

EUDORA.

“Run.

Keep running.

Don’t you dare look back.

Run far away from here. I will guide you. I know you do not want me but I will lead you to where you are meant to be. Where you don’t have to feel threatened by anyone, a place where you don’t have to be ashamed of me. Run, Eudora. Run.”

And I did.

I ran blindly. I ran without any inhibitions. I ran with no destination in mind. I ran with fear in my heart, not knowing the second when all of my efforts to get away from here would be in vain. I ran with the thought that it was better to die running, best to die on these tracks than live the kind of life I had just a taste of but knew in that instant that it wasn’t the kind of life I wanted to live.

The voice in my head telling me to run was one I recognized too well. I had first heard it the first time I was in danger of being taken by rogues. The same voice had told me the same thing; to run because I was in danger.

It belonged to my wolf. It had to be her.
