The Confession

ALICIA'S P.O.V

"I know, trust me. I know that was the reason you had left me," I searched his eyes which were held still on me, I couldn't tell the message behind them but I was sure he wasn't going to harm me. I recognise love when I see one, this beast wasn't going to touch me.

"You have no idea what you are saying," I watched Marcus's lips move idly and I knew he wasn't going to tell me the truth.

"Get in Alicia," He said again then reached his hand to my wrist but paused when we noticed flashlight coming towards our direction.

"Alicia," Kathrine called and we turned to see her and Kelvin approaching us with torchlights in their hands.

"Shit!" Marcus exclaimed in a whisper and I turned to meet his gaze. "Just come with me Alicia,"

"I'm sorry, Marcus but I have to head back inside now," I paused.

I wasn't sure if that was truly what I wanted. It's been a long time since I saw him and now he is standing before me and all I could say was that I wanted to leave?

"You have to go now, before my friends see you," Those words escaped my lips again. "Goodnight Marcus,"

I searched his sad eyes. I hoped a part of him would try to stop me again but he didn't, he allowed me to walk away.

I caught up with Katherine and Kelvin after I had walked thirteen feet’s away from him.

"Where have you been?" Katherine asked.

"It doesn't matter now, I'm okay," I answered and Kelvin drifted his gaze behind me.

"Who was that I saw you standing with earlier?" He asked then I turned around only to figure out that Marcus was no longer there.

'He is gone again,' I thought sadly then turned back to meet Kelvin's steady gaze. "It's only someone I know,"

"I don't like it when you keep secrets, Alicia. Your father wouldn't want to see you this way. That was why you are here in the first place, to have a good time," Kelvin said as I heaved a sigh.

"I understand, I just need to rest," I said politely then left for the cabin entrance door.

The sun came in through the cabin window the next morning as I turned towards the other side of the bed.

"Alicia," I heard Katherine's voice then felt her weight on the bed. "Alicia," she called again and I opened my eyes.

What is it, Katherine? I mumbled.

"You should get up, someone is here to see you," she said and I gently opened my eyes to see her weird stare.

"Who is it?" I asked with my eyebrows furrowed and she stood up from the bed still having that weird look on her face.

"You didn't tell me you had made a new friend," she said.

"Stop playing around Katherine, Just go straight to the point," I said sluggishly.

"Alright, he said his name is Marcus," she answered as my eyes fluttered open.

I sat up as I crept down the bed then walked to the door post and when I slightly opened the door I saw him.

She wasn't joking around, it was really Marcus. I closed the door again then turned back to Katherine. "How do I look?"

"Great," She answered and I turned again, gently opening the door.

"Hi," I said as he smiled gently, which was quite strange to me because we didn't come to terms last night.

I glanced at his sky blue shirt then traced my gaze down to his blue jeans trousers, there was nothing he would wear that wouldn't suit him perfectly.

"Do you mind going out with me today?" Marcus' words interrupted my thoughts as I looked up to him again.

"Yeah, as long as we won't talk about yesterday's event," I said.

"Okay, I promise we won't talk about that. I'll just let you give it a thought," He replied.

"Okay, I will be out in a moment," I closed the door then walked down to my bag which was beside my bed.

"So who is he?" Katherine asked as I bent down then took out my blue Jeans and black top.

"No one, it's just someone I know," I stood on my feet then turned to her. "Where is Kelvin?"

"He left earlier," She answered and I walked past her into the bathroom.

"You haven't said a word to me Alicia," I heard Katherine's voice when I turned on the shower as a smile spread across my face.

This was the moment I wouldn't want to miss, finally I was going to spend time with him. I wonder where he was going to take me? It could be to see the mountains, or to play a game or maybe I had no clue.

I sprained my eyebrows as I turned off the shower and when I was fully dressed I walked out of the bathroom.

"You won't tell me about him, right?" Katherine continued as I walked down to my bed then put on my sneakers.

"There is nothing so serious to say about this, we aren't in any relationship, I promise," I stood upright.

"If that is the case then what was that look I saw on your face earlier?" she said and I turned to her.

"It was nothing," I heaved a sigh then walked past her towards the door.

"I will like a full detail of the event when you return,"

"Okay, miss Katherine," I left the cabin, closing the door behind. I heaved a sigh then turned around and he was still there, standing patiently like a soldier in his post.

"Shall we..?" he put out his hand and without uttering a word I held him as we both walked down to his motorcycle.

He helped me on the ride then got on and in a short time he drove off.

"So where are we going?" I asked while the warm morning breeze brushed against my skin and my hair flaunting backwards, even to add more taste to my ease Marcus turned to me slightly with a warm smile.

"You are not going to tell me, right?" I stared at the side of his face and I could tell he was still smiling.

"Just hold on, you will know when we get there," his deep baritone voice sounded a bit light but it was still as comely as usual.

I looked forward only to notice that he was taking me up a mountain and I wasn't sure what he wanted to show me but I guess being patient was the only thing I can do at the moment.

"About your friends, how did you get to meet them?" He asked.

I furrowed my eyebrows because his question sounded a bit wield. "Katherine was my classmates during high-school before I left the city, and as for Kelvin, he is a sister to my friend and my dad trusts him,"

"You sound as if you were forced into friendship with him," Marcus interrupted.

"No. He has some flaws just as everyone does but he also has a great personality. He is caring and kind," I replied hoping he would say something but he didn't for a while.

"What about me? What do you think of me?" He asked and I jerked.

"Ha! You are the opposite to him. He is absolutely better than you are,"

"If that is the case, why aren't you with him? instead you accepted to go out with me," He said.

"I can't tell, maybe it was only a mistake," I said as he chuckled silently and finally he held the brake.

"We are here," Marcus came down from the ride then reached his hand out and helped me down.

"So why this place of all places?" I held my gaze on his blue eyes as he drifted them away from me.

"Nothing, i brought you here because I have a question to ask and your answer will determine how the rest of our stay here will look,"

I stared at him curiously as he lifted his eyes to me again but this time his cute smile was gone and all I could see was deep seriousness.

"What question is that?" I asked as I stared at his forehead which furrowed slightly and for the second time he avoided eye contact with me.

"Why did you say what you said last night? Why did you call me a werewolf?" He was forced to look me in the eyes again.
