That night, I didn't sleep. I was eager to see the town. I needed to find a job so I could leave as quickly as possible. Baby Marcel got up five times for the night, hungry and miserable. Luckily, I was able to put him back to sleep without having any trouble. Baby Marcel was an obedient baby. He got that from me, not his father. I smiled at that thought.

"Alpha Dragos wants you to have breakfast with him," the elderly maid said as she entered my room.

I stared at her, worried.

"If he starts to cry, let me know," I told her.
