At the age of twenty-four and still mate-less, Bella Maloo thought that was the worst thing that could ever happen to a she-wolf, until she discovered that her Luna had chosen her to be the concubine for her alpha mate. Bella's new role was to satisfy her Alpha's sexual desires. Bella thought her life couldn't get any worse, but she was clueless that everything that was happening to her was destined to be and was leading her closer to the heart of the wolf she belonged to. She had to play her part to fulfill her destiny.
Voir plusI could feel everyone's eyes on me. My body ached badly from their non-stop gazing. It felt like they were throwing darts at me, sinking them into my flesh one by one, slowly.
Their whispering was even worse. It felt like maggots were tormenting my ears, slowly eating away my flesh from the inside. I couldn't take it anymore. I turned around and hurriedly returned home, not bothering to purchase anything.
"You're home already," my mother said, with a surprised look on her face when I entered the house.
I sat beside her on the couch in the living room and sadly rested my head on my chest.
"Why are you so sad and where are the goods you went to purchase?" my mother asked me.
"I couldn't," I told her, as I raised my eyes to her. "Everyone was staring and whispering about me. I couldn't take it anymore."
"I'm so sorry Bella; things will be better when the Moon Goddess remembers to give you a mate."
"I'm tired of hearing this from you, mom. I'm twenty-four and still I'm unlucky to find my mate. I'll forever be a forgotten wolf."
My mother rubbed my back, trying her best to cheer me up.
"I'll get the stuff you wanted," she told me.
I nodded and watched her as she left.
Why did the Moon Goddess want me to be mate-less? I wondered sadly as I went upstairs.
I sat on the edge of my bed, turned to face the mirror and stared at my reflection.
I saw a beautiful she-wolf with long, straight, honey colored hair and eyes that were bluer than the sky. To go with my beautiful face, my height and body weight and proportions were perfect, at least that was what I thought. I just didn't understand why I hadn't found my mate yet. I lay on my bed, feeling stressed about my mate-less life.
I heard a knock at the door downstairs. I exited my room right away, curious to know who it was. I opened the door and soon I was astonished to see two of the Alpha's guards, attired in their silver armor, standing at my front door.
"Bella Maloo?" one of them asked me.
"Yes, that's me," I answered politely.
"Luna Trina Bloode-Wolffinton sent us for you," the guard informed me.
"Why?" I asked, curious about what The Luna wanted from me.
"Come with us now and you'll find out," the guard who had spoken to me said.
Both guards took me by my arms and started to drag me from my house.
"No, let me go!" I yelled, terrified.
"Keep calm or we'll be violent," one of them said.
Immediately, I calmed down. I was scared of getting hurt. They took me away and placed me in a white carriage, drawn by two black horses. As soon as I entered, the carriage went off speedily. I turned my head to look through the window to see if I could glimpse my mother returning from the store, but I couldn't see anything. The windows were covered by drapery.
"Why does the Luna want me?" I asked the guard who was in the carriage with me.
He didn't answer.
After a few minutes, I felt the carriage slow down. Soon, it stopped.
"Don't get out until I tell you to," the guard sternly warned me while he exited the carriage.
My heart began to race in my chest as I worried about what was going to happen to me. I had never done any criminal act. I didn't understand why I was brought there.
The carriage door opened and I saw an elderly lady who appeared to be one of the pack leader's maids. In her hands, she had a large black sheet. She instructed me to get out. As I did, she threw the sheet over my head, covering my entire body. I screamed. The two guards grabbed me and started to run with me.
I felt my body land on something soft. I jumped up, screaming while I tried to remove the sheet that was covering me. My non-stop screaming turned to silence the moment I removed the sheet and noticed that I was in a stylish room. I was not alone. Luna Trina Bloode-Wolffinton of the Iron Claw Pack was standing before me.
She was even more beautiful than the times that I'd seen her at pack gatherings. She was aging like a fine wine. The older she grew the more beautiful she got. Her long, curly red hair was as red as a rose and her eyes were greener than the trees of nature. She stood tall before me, her voluptuous figure. She was one fine-looking she-wolf.
I came off the bed right away and bowed to her. That's the right way to greet the leaders of our pack. Also, we were to keep our heads bowed until they instructed us to lift them.
"Do you know why you're here, forgotten wolf?" she asked me. I hated that name, but I was really a forgotten wolf. I'd never found my one true mate.
Her voice was as smooth as butter and wonderful to the ears. It was like birds singing beautifully.
"No, Your Luna," I answered her, still holding my position.
"Stand straight," she finally commanded me.
I was happy to obey her because my neck was starting to hurt.
"You're chosen as a whore or concubine, whatever you want to call it, for my mate, Alpha Maximus Wolffinton."
My eyes widened in shock. I couldn't believe what she had said.
"You will satisfy my mate's sexual desire until he chooses to let you go," Luna Trina informed me.
"I can't, Your Luna," I told her.
"Do you dare to disobey your Luna?" she asked me with a grave look on her face.
Immediately, I shook my head, realizing I had no choice. I must be her mate's concubine.
"Good," Luna Trina said.
I remained still, wanting to burst into tears, but I fought hard to hold them back, not wanting to cry before the Luna.
"Now, as my mate's concubine, there are some rules I want you to follow."
"Yes, Your Luna," I answered sadly.
"My mate will come to your room whenever he feels the need for you. You should never dare to refuse him, no matter what. You should never sleep with anyone else, fall for my mate or another wolf. Finally, your body should be hidden, including your face. Every part of you shall only be for my mate's eyes only.
"Yes, Your Luna."
"Good," she responded. "And oh, you shall never leave this castle or speak to any one of your family from now on."
I couldn't hold back my tears anymore when I heard the last rule. How could I not inform my mother about my whereabouts? I was her only child, and she would be deeply worried about me.
"Can't I let my mother know about my whereabouts? I am the only person she has," I said, pleading with the Luna.
"I'll let the guard inform her soon."
I felt so relieved that she had agreed. I wiped away my tears.
"Now, before we start your transformation from those ragged clothes, tell me how many men you have slept with during your mate-less life?"
"Zero, Your Luna," I said, telling her the truth. I was saving myself for my one true mate, if I was ever lucky to receive one.
Luna Trina stared at me, seeming to be shocked that I was still a virgin.
"Lucy!" she shouted. Her voice echoed within the room and soon a maid quickly entered the room.
"Why is she a virgin?" Luna Trina asked the maid.
"I didn't know she was," she answered.
Luna Trina turned back to face me. She stared at me hard.
"We have to do something about this now," she said gravely. "There's no way, I'm allowing my alpha mate to devirginize her."
I swallowed, worried about what she was going to do.
Quickly, I turned around and ran straight to my room. "Bella," I heard Marcel shout as he chased after me. Before I could close the door, Marcel stopped me. Our eyes met and we stared at each other. I slowly backed away from the door, spun around and walked over to the window. I stood there, sadly staring through it. My eyes closed as I heard his footsteps getting closer to me. Marcel stopped and I felt him stand behind me. I could feel the air from his nostrils touching the strands of my hair. "Bella," Marcel said softly. I didn't answer him, nor did I open my eyes to turn to look at him. One of his warm hands touched me. Immediately, my eyes opened. "Don't touch me," I said angrily. "I'm staying here with Alpha Dragos." I walked over to our pup that was sound asleep. Marcel stared sadly at me. "Why are you treating me this way now, Bella?" Marcel asked, seeming to be confused by my strange actions toward him. "He's my fated mate, Marcel, so I cannot return with you," I q
"I have something to tell you, Marcel," I said fretfully. "What is it?" Marcel asked in his powerful voice that could not hide his anxiety. "It's about where our baby is and who he's with," I told him, staring into his eyes. "Is our pup in danger?" he asked, and stood, his face worried. "No, no, he's fine," I told him as I too stood and tried to calm him down. "Then why are you afraid to tell me where our pup is?" Marcel asked, as his dark eyes pierced into mine. "It's because he's with my fated mate," I finally told him the whereabouts of our pup. Marcel froze, his face alarmed. I could see worries in his eyes, that at that moment he was worried about losing me. "Don't worry; I'm with you always," I told him as I caressed his strong broad shoulder and stared into his eyes. "Good, for I don't know what I would do if you were no longer in my life" he said, gently caressing my face. I smiled. I felt relieved that Marcel had handled the news well, but still I was a bit stressed
I couldn't believe it was Marcel standing before me. It felt so unreal. "Marcel," I cried happily as I ran toward him. Marcel's strong long right arm stopped me from getting close to him. "Who are you and what do you want?" he asked, his voice puzzled. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I stared at him, shocked. "Oh, there you are; you found him," Denah said as she came around the corner of the house, struggling with her shopping bag, trying to keep some of the things she had bought from falling out. "Who are you?" Marcel again asked. He seemed to be curious and his dark eyes that once used to be filled with love for me, were now empty. "I'm just a friend of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton," Denah answered. "They gave me this herb to give you." She handed him the small bag. Marcel took it from her. "Thanks," he said. He took another look at me and hastily went inside. I quickly wiped away my tears before Denah could see that I was crying. "Let's go," Denah said and turned to walk awa
That night, I didn't sleep. I was eager to see the town. I needed to find a job so I could leave as quickly as possible. Baby Marcel got up five times for the night, hungry and miserable. Luckily, I was able to put him back to sleep without having any trouble. Baby Marcel was an obedient baby. He got that from me, not his father. I smiled at that thought. It was morning. I tidied Baby Marcel and gave him his breakfast, breast milk. "Alpha Dragos wants you to have breakfast with him," the elderly maid said as she entered my room. I stared at her, worried. "I'll watch the baby for you and take care of him," the maid assured me and stretched out both hands to take Baby Marcel. I gave her my pup, not wanting to disobey the Alpha in his home. "If he starts to cry, let me know," I told her. "Yes," she said. “And, oh, Denah is waiting outside to escort you to the dining room." I kissed my baby before leaving. Alpha Dragos sat at the table, waiting for me. When he saw me, he immediat
I was brought to a very large home. Each side of the building was surrounded by plants that gave me a feeling of still being within the woods. The building was painted brown. It gave me a warm earthy feeling. I was placed in a well-decorated room and the door was shut from the outside. I gently held my baby in my arms and took notice of my new surroundings. I already hated it there. I felt like I was back in my land, locked again in the Alpha's castle. "Shh...," I hushed my baby as he began to cry. I slowly walked around the room rocking him gently, wanting him to be quiet. He didn't stop crying. I realized that I hadn't fed him since he was born. That must be the reason why he was miserable. I walked over to the bed, picked him up and gave him my breast. He hungrily suckled it. "I'm sorry, my pup," I said softly over him as I watched him. I felt such peace just gazing at him. He made me feel that everything was okay and that everything that had gone wrong in my life had never occu
I cried tears of joy, knowing my sweet pup in my arms was not Alpha Maximus's but his brother’s, my love, Zeta Marcel Wolffinton. I must save you, I thought worriedly as my pup's eyes, as dark as Marcel's, closed. I got off the bed and held him safely in my arms. "You need to rest," the doctor said and the nurse guided me back to bed. "I need to leave before the Alpha kills my baby," I told them as they tried to stop me. "The Alpha won't do such a thing; he'll be happy he has a boy," the doctor told me. "I vomited out the herbal cleanser the same day you gave me!" I yelled at him. He froze. Suddenly, the door opened. It was the Alpha accompanied by two guards. "You have a boy, Your Alpha," the doctor stuttered nervously and continued to stare at me. "Give me my son," the Alpha ordered me and began to approach me. The two guards stood at the door. As the Alpha got close to me, the nurse and doctor stepped away, not wanting to be close to me when the Alpha lay his eyes on my p
