“There is going to be a storm.” I said to Gabby, and she mumbled an okay. “What’s wrong Gabby? You don’t want to talk to me again. You can’t do this, we talked about it.”

Her heated gaze met mine.

My heart skipped a beat.

“You changed and I am trying to accommodate to that, it’s like he is trying to turn you into this person you are not and the thought of that scares me, you know why, because I know how much of a good person you are and one day. I would hate for you to wake up and realise how you have changed.” She spoke and I bit my lip.

Changed?

I didn’t change.

I just started to get to know him better

I still hate Luca, after what that night at his mom’s home, I could tell there’s more to him than I can imagine, there’s something he is not letting on and he didn’t punish me no matter how much he wanted to.

“I’m still the same old Olivia.” I smiled. “Papa taught us to see beyond what the world says, what you know about Luca, is what others have said about him, I am not saying he is good, I am not saying Noah deserves to die, all I am saying is that, something is not usually what we see, unless we stare at it properly.”

“Hmm.”

Fuck.

She wants me to tell her how much I hate him? I will, he didn’t matter to much as he as she did. He didn’t even matter to me at all.

“Come on Gabby, did you come here to start a fight, we have all our lives for that.”

“You are right.” She smiled and I rolled my eyes playfully at her, she glanced at me with another smile. “You know about that plan I have a way for you to escape Luca.”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea and If he finds out, he will hurt you Gabby, and we both know papa will rather have you over than let all his power go.” I said and she rolled her eyes at me.

One thing about Gabby? She is reckless, if she wanted to do something, she will not care if it will hurt anyone, she did it first and suffered the consequences later on.

“What do you have in mind?.”

“Not here, I don’t trust that someone is nor eavesdropping on our conversations.” She said loudly before she laughed. “Come on I am starved.”

I hated the idea of leaving my room, but for Gabby I did, the moment we headed into the living room, my eyes caught Luca, sitting by the other end of the dinning room, he had a meal in his presence.

I had imagined his meeting came to an end sooner than I thought.

“Are you going to say something to him?”

“No.” I whispered.

I lead Gabby into the kitchen, the staffs stared at me the moment I walked in.

“Do you need anything?.”

“Just water and food.” I smiled.

“Tacos if possible, a mix of beef and chicken, we will be right back there.” She said pointing to the dinning room.

What game is she playing

He is not going to understand and the last thing I need is a fight between my husband and my sister. A fight where she is not going to win, a fight that will lead to a bigger one between her and papa.

I would hate for her to get in trouble.

I settled beside Luca, it was my place, and she settled on the other side.

“Are you going to say anything Alpha?.” She asked as she stared at him. “You look annoyed, is it because I am here?”

“Gabby.” I whispered and she ignored me.

She is playing with fire here, I can’t save her if she continues.

She looked between me and Luca.

“You have not marked Liv.” She spoke. “If you don’t, your pack is never going to respect her. Is that what you want, for your queen to be disrespected, you wanted to get married to her. She didn’t ask you to, you forced her into this so the least you can do is make sure she is not disrespected.”

My eyes snapped away from Liv.

I could feel my heart pounding against my chest.

It happened so fast, one minute he is sitting beside me, the other, he has his hand a wrapped around her neck, her breath shortening and her eyes spilling with tears.

I remained frozen to my position until I realized what was happening.

Reality hits me faster than lightning when I heard her whimper.

“Luca.” I whispered. “Please just let her go, she didn’t mean what she said, I swear, that’s just how she says, she speaks first and thinks later, you can’t do this.”

He didn’t budge.

He is going to kill her and papa will not get justice, no one will, all I will hear would be; she made him angry and she paid for it, she will be taunted as the horrible sister that angered the Alpha.

“Just let her go.” I snapped, his eyes darted to me, almost in shock that I will speak to him in that tone and manner. “Let my sister go Luca, she is my only family, do you get that? The only person I care about, the only person I love and loves me more, do you understand what it means to have a family, to have someone that loves you no matter how things get bad, to know that when you do the worst things, there is someone always there for you, for me that’s Gabby and you are not going to take her away from me, she dies, I die, she suffers, I suffer too.” I yelled.

His hand unwrapped itself from her neck, I reached toward her side, I never thought he would listen to me and yet he did.
