Sheila's point of view

"I didn't even touch her. I swear on my life. I really didn't want to hurt you and I never want to. I love you, Sheila. I fucking love you." he said hurriedly, and I stopped wriggling. His last words echoed in the walls of my mind.

My dark blue eyes were studying him.

"He isn't lying," Adie voiced in my mind, leaning closely.

"And you know how?" I shot back at her.

"I can feel it," she whispered in my head.

"Well, I doubt that. He's a liar and a cheat," I said.

"But he's being honest now," Adie muttered, slowly exhausted.

I was about to contradict her, but she shushed me up immediately. "Just shut up and kiss him."

My hands sneaked around his neck, and immediately, I brought my lips to his. Killian wrapped his hands around me, firmly kissing me back.

After a while, we pulled away, panting heavily.

"I swear nothing happened between Thea and I. And nothing ever will." he whispered, kissing me again.

no-one in this pack investigates anything. Honestly if I was Sheila I would insist he breaks the mating bond before he does the nasty with Thea. Surely him marking the hoe could kill Sheila?

How can’t anyone question it? Like, why are they so certain Thea is the gifted one? Why would the moon goddess mate him with someone else, if he has to mate and mark the woman who will help him break the curse? Why hasn’t anyone investigate who broke the spell on the cave and who killed Rowan?
