I stormed into Maya’s room without thinking. The anger, the jealousy, the betrayal I felt seemed real even though it wasn't— it all pushed me to the edge.

Damon was holding her, shirtless, breathing heavily like he’d been in pain. And she… she looked worried for him.

My heart cracked in half.

“What the hell is going on here?” I growled.

Maya instantly pulled away from him, panic rising in her eyes. “Liam, it’s not what you think—”
