Conner finds me

Once I had collected my belongings I went back home. I flopped on to the couch and sighed. Normally on my off days I would hang out with Ashley. But today I’m on my own. Something I’m going to have to get used to I guess. There was absolutely nothing for me to do at home so I decided to take a walk to my favourite spot.

I often go there to think, it’s a place my mother used to take me. I picked up my phone and keys and walked towards the lake. I still needed to think and decide whether I’m going to give Conner a chance. I know my wolf wants me to give him a chance but can I?

I left the road and took the short cut through the woods. No one stopped to talk to me. They haven’t spoken to me since my parents died. I followed the path until I reached my destination. The trees split and I stepped through the over Grown shrubbery. The lake was glistening and still. The sun shone down casting shades from the over hanging tree branches.

I found the granite boulder that mum and me used to sit on. I climbed on top and sat down. It was so peaceful here. I loved it here. Memories of mum teaching me to swim here and our picnic lunches. Sunday afternoon family time with dad. Watching them as the loving parents they were. I always wished that I would find a loving mate and hoped I would be just as happy as they both were.

Now look at me, sitting here alone, my mate was sleeping with my best friend. A best friend who until yesterday I classed as my sister. I sighed as I recalled what she had said to me in my kitchen. Would he always go back to her? But could he stop now we are mates? Could I give him a chance?

“Give him a chance.” Azalea murmured.

I looked out over the lake before I laid back. The sun was shining down on my face. The warmth was welcoming. I closed my eyes basking in the lake’s peacefulness. For the first time since my parents passing I felt a sense of peace. That was until I heard someone approaching me slowly. I sat up quickly and turned my head. There he was in only a pair of shorts Conner.

“Hey.”

“What are you doing here?”

“I followed your scent here.”

“Oh I see.”

“Yeah, may I sit with you?”

I shrugged my shoulders. “If you must.”

Conner climbed up and sat beside me not saying anything at first, but just looking over the lake. Only catching a Quick Look at me when he thought I wasn’t watching. But I could feel his eyes on me.

I didn’t know why he was here, why he was disturbing my peace.

“Sasha, can you please give me a chance? I really want to make this work. You’re my fated mate and I need you by my side.”

I looked him in the eyes trying to see if there was any lies in them. But they looked honest.

Do I give him a chance?

“Well you won’t know unless you try.” Azalea whispered.

I sighed and nodded my head, “ok, one chance Conner.”

The biggest smile broke out on his face as he reached for me and pulled me into a tight sided hug. He placed a kiss on top of my head.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you, you won’t regret it.”

“I hope not.” I put arms around him and hugged him back.

Come on let’s go to the pack house so we can spend some time together. I giggled as he jumped down and held his arms out to me. Helping me down from the boulder He took my hand and led me back through the shrubbery and back to the pack house.

Conner went in first then called me in. We rushed upstairs and straight into his room.

“Come on hurry up.” As he practically dragged me into his room.

He took me to his bed and sat me down. It was then I saw his phone screen lighting up which was on the bedside table. He picked it up and looked at me.

“I just need to answer this then we can spend some time together babe.”

He walked away towards the window and from I saw he was messaging someone. I sat there looking around his room. It was definitely a man’s room. Blue and black on the walls, dark blue drapes that obviously keeps the sun out when he’s sleeping in the morning. The carpet was a shaggy white piled carpet and his furniture looked it was solid oak. It was a really nice room. His bed looked like it was a queen size bed with black silk sheets.

“Ok, all done, I’ve shut my phone off now so we won’t be disturbed.” He smiled.

“So what do you want to do? Shall we watch a movie?”

“Uh yeah that be good.”

“Ok well, look here’s the remote you find something to watch and I’ll go get the snacks.” He handed me the remote and He quickly took off out of the room.

I looked at him as he rushed out through the door closing it behind him.

I stood up and walked around his room, opening one of the doors and looked inside. Wow the bathroom was humongous.

“Easily fit 2 people in there.” Azalea chined in.

“You seem happier.”

“I am, thank you for giving mate a chance.”

“I’m only doing it for you Azalea, I know how much it hurt you, but let’s take it slow ok?”

“It’s mate, he won’t hurt us, and beside his wolf legion has already fallen for us.”

“He has? How do you know?”

“He’s been talking with me.”

“Oh.”

“He’s was angry when we caught his human.”

“Hmm well just don’t fall for him too quickly, I don’t want you hurting again.”

I heard the door opening and he strolled in. Arms full to the brim with drinks and different snacks.
