Once I had collected my belongings I went back home. I flopped on to the couch and sighed. Normally on my off days I would hang out with Ashley. But today I’m on my own. Something I’m going to have to get used to I guess. There was absolutely nothing for me to do at home so I decided to take a walk to my favourite spot.
I often go there to think, it’s a place my mother used to take me. I picked up my phone and keys and walked towards the lake. I still needed to think and decide whether I’m going to give Conner a chance. I know my wolf wants me to give him a chance but can I? I left the road and took the short cut through the woods. No one stopped to talk to me. They haven’t spoken to me since my parents died. I followed the path until I reached my destination. The trees split and I stepped through the over Grown shrubbery. The lake was glistening and still. The sun shone down casting shades from the over hanging tree branches. I found the granite boulder that mum and me used to sit on. I climbed on top and sat down. It was so peaceful here. I loved it here. Memories of mum teaching me to swim here and our picnic lunches. Sunday afternoon family time with dad. Watching them as the loving parents they were. I always wished that I would find a loving mate and hoped I would be just as happy as they both were. Now look at me, sitting here alone, my mate was sleeping with my best friend. A best friend who until yesterday I classed as my sister. I sighed as I recalled what she had said to me in my kitchen. Would he always go back to her? But could he stop now we are mates? Could I give him a chance? “Give him a chance.” Azalea murmured. I looked out over the lake before I laid back. The sun was shining down on my face. The warmth was welcoming. I closed my eyes basking in the lake’s peacefulness. For the first time since my parents passing I felt a sense of peace. That was until I heard someone approaching me slowly. I sat up quickly and turned my head. There he was in only a pair of shorts Conner. “Hey.” “What are you doing here?” “I followed your scent here.” “Oh I see.” “Yeah, may I sit with you?” I shrugged my shoulders. “If you must.” Conner climbed up and sat beside me not saying anything at first, but just looking over the lake. Only catching a Quick Look at me when he thought I wasn’t watching. But I could feel his eyes on me. I didn’t know why he was here, why he was disturbing my peace. “Sasha, can you please give me a chance? I really want to make this work. You’re my fated mate and I need you by my side.” I looked him in the eyes trying to see if there was any lies in them. But they looked honest. Do I give him a chance? “Well you won’t know unless you try.” Azalea whispered. I sighed and nodded my head, “ok, one chance Conner.” The biggest smile broke out on his face as he reached for me and pulled me into a tight sided hug. He placed a kiss on top of my head. “Thank you, thank you, thank you, you won’t regret it.” “I hope not.” I put arms around him and hugged him back. Come on let’s go to the pack house so we can spend some time together. I giggled as he jumped down and held his arms out to me. Helping me down from the boulder He took my hand and led me back through the shrubbery and back to the pack house. Conner went in first then called me in. We rushed upstairs and straight into his room. “Come on hurry up.” As he practically dragged me into his room. He took me to his bed and sat me down. It was then I saw his phone screen lighting up which was on the bedside table. He picked it up and looked at me. “I just need to answer this then we can spend some time together babe.” He walked away towards the window and from I saw he was messaging someone. I sat there looking around his room. It was definitely a man’s room. Blue and black on the walls, dark blue drapes that obviously keeps the sun out when he’s sleeping in the morning. The carpet was a shaggy white piled carpet and his furniture looked it was solid oak. It was a really nice room. His bed looked like it was a queen size bed with black silk sheets. “Ok, all done, I’ve shut my phone off now so we won’t be disturbed.” He smiled. “So what do you want to do? Shall we watch a movie?” “Uh yeah that be good.” “Ok well, look here’s the remote you find something to watch and I’ll go get the snacks.” He handed me the remote and He quickly took off out of the room. I looked at him as he rushed out through the door closing it behind him. I stood up and walked around his room, opening one of the doors and looked inside. Wow the bathroom was humongous. “Easily fit 2 people in there.” Azalea chined in. “You seem happier.” “I am, thank you for giving mate a chance.” “I’m only doing it for you Azalea, I know how much it hurt you, but let’s take it slow ok?” “It’s mate, he won’t hurt us, and beside his wolf legion has already fallen for us.” “He has? How do you know?” “He’s been talking with me.” “Oh.” “He’s was angry when we caught his human.” “Hmm well just don’t fall for him too quickly, I don’t want you hurting again.” I heard the door opening and he strolled in. Arms full to the brim with drinks and different snacks.Once I had collected my belongings I went back home. I flopped on to the couch and sighed. Normally on my off days I would hang out with Ashley. But today I’m on my own. Something I’m going to have to get used to I guess. There was absolutely nothing for me to do at home so I decided to take a walk to my favourite spot. I rushed over to help him lay everything down. “You haven’t put the tv on.”“No I was waiting for you.” “Ah ok, well let’s find something to watch. Come on sit up on the bed.” I climbed back on the bed and lent up against the headboard. He sat up next to me and took the tv remote flicking through the Chanel’s. We settled on the expendable film. He put his arms around my shoulders and pulled me into him so we snuggled up. We spent all day like this watching films and eating snacks. When evening came and it started to become late I moved away from him and sat on the side of the bed.“What’s wrong?” “Nothing, I uh think it’s time I went home.” “Oh.”“Yeh well I’ve been here all day, I need to get home and get some rest.” “Can’t you stay here with me tonight?” I didn’t say anything but right then my lap seemed very interesting to look at. He got off of the bed and walked around to me kneeling down on the floor in front of me. “Sasha, please won’t you stay?” “Yes stay with mate, I
“It means we are not in a relationship, more like friends with benefits.” “Ok. So what now?” “Well, I’m hoping you will give me a chance.” “What about Ashley?” “I won’t see her again. Look Sasha, you are my mate, my fated mate and no one and I mean no one takes president over you. Tell me why would I need her when I have you?” I sat there thinking, could I forgive him? I don’t know. But the main question is could I trust him? That is another answer of I don’t know. I looked at him. “I will have to think about it Conner, it hurt me and my wolf last night walking in on you with her. You need to give me time.” He nodded. “I understand and will give you all the time you need.” He then stood up and kissed the back of my hand. Before he walked away closing the front door behind him. I sat there what the hell. “I want mate.” Azelea whispered. I could still feel her hurting, and I knew then that I wouldn’t make this easy. I got up and walked to the window and watche
I know that I would have to face them both sometime and talk and hear there cheating excuses, but right now I needed time. But no matter how much I tried to tell myself I was alright it wasn’t true. I was far from being alright. I was devastated, broken and felt betrayed. Azalea wouldn’t talk so I’m guessing she just needs time. I can’t imagine how she is feeling right now. I mean that was her other half of her soul the one who would make her complete make us complete and he had hurt us both. I pray she will be ok. I laid back on my bed and grabbed the tv remote flicking through the channels. I found a comedy film Grown Up’s with Adam chandler his films always makes me laugh. I needed to forget about those two, at least for tonight. I needed this time for myself. Many thoughts were roaming around my head. How long had this been going on? Do they love each other? Could I watch them everyday together knowing what they both did? I don’t even know why I asked myself that last ques
It wasn’t until azalea stopped at the waterfall and looked in that I saw her for the first time.“Wow, oh my goddess, Azelea your beautiful. Your, your so white. No wonder they couldn’t stop looking at us.I couldn’t stop staring at her reflection in the water. Azelea was brilliant white with a glow of blue around her head; her eyes were a shade of purple. And when the breeze whipped past I’m sure it looked like her fur sparkled. Azelea was the most beautiful wolf I had ever seen.Azelea was giggling, “Shall we go back?”“Yeh I’m kinda tired.” We turned and walked back towards the others.“Ok, now to shift back just think of your human selves. Clear your mind.”I did what she told us and when I looked, I was human again. “I did it.” I laughed. “And it didn’t hurt.”“Dummy,” Azelea scoffed.I didn’t take much notice of her comment and went behind the tree that was hiding my clothes. I was so happy but sad at the same time. Ashley missed my shift, I looked around and saw the others with
We arrived too a queue of cars on the driveway to the conference centre. When we adventurely pulled up in front we exited and walked towards the steps. I looked around and saw so many people. Men in suits and the ladies in beautiful gowns, all looking impeccably gorgeous. We walked into the room, whoever decorated it had done a wonderful job. There were fairy lights all around. Tables were lined with flowers; there was a makeshift bar on one side of the room. Down the far end was a DJ sorting the music. Ballroom lights were shining from the ceiling.Ashley took my hand and walked us through the crowd towards the bar. I looked around at all the people. It was then that I had noticed our future alpha Conner Stone. He was 23 years of age and still hadn’t met his mate. He was handsome standing at 6ft 4 with muscle upon muscle, he had jet black hair. Longer on the top shaved o the sides. I had only ever seen him a few times, but man was he sex on legs.As if he knew I was watching him he
