LOGIN~Brady~ I’m taken by surprise for a moment. I knew we were having a moment, but I didn’t expect Lindsey to kiss me. It feels gentle, like a butterfly’s wings. It leaves me craving more, a desire left unfulfilled. She breaks the kiss, and I’m met with eyes that remind me of the forest. She doesn’t even have to try; I always feel at home with her. I simply smile and cup her cheek. My thumb pulls at her bottom lip, and she opens her mouth slightly in response. Despite my desires, I don’t kiss her again. “Slowly, little wolf. I want all of you, but I’m going to take my time.” “Ok. Just don’t make me wait too long,” she teases me and turns to get out of the car. I resist the urge to yank her back in my truck and show her exactly what I’m wanting to do to her. “Bye handsome.” She winks as she shuts my door. I watch her ass sway back and forth before she gets to the door and lets herself in. I feel my pants tighten and realize I need to take care of myself or take a cold shower
~Lindsey~ I walk with Brady out to the truck, which Callie is already getting into. She throws her bag in the backseat and hops in. I’m almost impressed by how fast she moves. A small laugh escapes my lips. “She didn’t waste any time.” “Her mate has his work cut out for him.” Brady says with a smirk. “Watch him be docile and soft spoken,” I joke. Brady smiles back at me, holding in a laugh. He gets in the drivers seat while I ride shotgun. “I’m putting my earbuds in. Drop me off first. Don’t wreck trying to make out.” Callie says digging through her bag. “Callie!” I say, blushing. I’m not the type of person that shows affection publicly. I feel like that’s something that should be intimate and private. Jagger hated that about me; he was always very physical in his affection. We had to make major compromises on that when we were together. “I don’t think you have to worry about that,” Brady says, looking down to crank the truck. I guess he still doesn’t think I’m into him.
~Brady~ The bell rings, and Coach Mabry calls everyone to the middle of the gym. I head to the dressing room to shift; no need to waste time or distract while he gives instructions. I usually get ogled by my usual fan club when I shift because I strip before I do. Mom said it saves a ton of money on clothes, and I really don’t doubt it. Once I’ve finished shifting, Knight heads to the gym. I feel his anticipation; he’s excited to se what Lindsey thinks of him. Coach is finishing up instructions, so I sit and wait. I hear him tell everyone to split up into four groups: we will take one each, and the other two will review moves from last week. Deanna and several others that have gotten their wolves will help communicate for us so we don’t have to shift back and forth. As everyone starts to regroup, I get a few nods and smiles, but there’s only one response that Knight and I are waiting for. Lindsey slowly turns around and makes eye contact with Knight. Her jaw drops, and we s
~Lindsey~ Calculus class goes smoothly as normal, increasing my respect for Mrs. Howell. “Everything going ok, Lindsey? I heard you were having some issues with other students.” She asks bluntly. “Yes ma’am. I hope everyone can move forward and leave the past behind.” I smile, grateful for her checking in. She returns the sentiment before adding, “Glad to hear. I can assure you that this room will be a safe space for you. Should anyone disrupt the peace of this classroom, they will be met with extreme displeasure.” She says firmly. “I don’t doubt that. Thank you, Mrs. Howell. I really appreciate it.” I wave goodbye, and she nods in acknowledgment. I catch up with Callie in the hallways. Grant and Deanna are chatting on one side of the hall, though I’m pretty sure they have no idea the world is continuing to spin and that they aren’t the only people in it. I smile, thinking about the times where Brady has made me feel like that. Those blue eyes that entrance me, the way he
~Brady~ I’ve never been so irritated in all my life. That asshole can’t be dumb enough to think that he can just swoop in and steal Lindsey. Seeing Logan wrap his arm around her and constantly hit on her makes me sick. Being my cousin doesn’t give him an excuse to treat she wolves like that. I barely touched my lunch; Logan was joking with the twins that he had another she wolf in his sights but wouldn’t tell them who. He got up early but didn’t go to her. I kept my eyes glued to Lindsey after he left. Thankfully she sat with her group of friends and not any males. “You mad at Logan?” Colton asks on our way to class. The girls are walking a couple of feet ahead of us, and although I’m enjoying catching glimpses of Lindsey’s hips swaying as she walks, I would much rather be walking beside her, letting the scents of vanilla and lavender calm my senses. “You could say that.” I reply sternly. I don’t want anyone putting their hands on her, especially not in a romantic way. Logan
~ Lindsey ~ After procrastinating as much as possible, I walk into Natural Science and sit in the front row, hoping to be able to focus more. Deanna sits beside me, but I’m sure the guys will sit in the back and partake in the antics. I know Brady said that the tests were easy and exact replicas of the study guide, but I feel like I’ve learned nothing, which worries me. I also feel sympathy towards Mrs. Harrison. Poor lady couldn’t have known what she was signing up for. Unfortunately sitting in the front makes me a target for the crazy stunts the males in this class like to pull. Colton walks by my desk and decides to slide across the table section. I roll my eyes as the crew of male wolves that I have yet to meet all laugh like a bunch of hyenas. Boys are so stupid sometimes. “Come on, Colton. Knock it off.” Brady says, taking his usual seat towards the back. “Yes, oh almighty alpha!” Colton bows before he sits down, causing another round of laughter. The bell rings,
~Brady~ This is perfect. Not only do I have a chance to get back at Colton and Grant for the stunt they pulled last week, but I get to see Lindsey in action. There’s not much hotter than a couple of girls fighting it out. Plus she’s wearing some tight leggings and a long sleeve crop top that hug
~ Lindsey ~ Who does this alpha asshole think he is? I meet his gorgeous blue eyes dead on, mischief and arrogance lace his features. “Uh I guess showing me where my classes are since, ya know, that’s your job.” After I make my intentions clear I turn away from him and try to create as much dista
~Lindsey~ I walk down the pavement and open the truck door. “Good morning!” I say with a smile. “Thanks again for picking me up, Mr. Matt. Hi, I’m Lindsey!” I wave to the girl in the middle seat, who I am assuming is Callie. “Hi, I’m Callie. You wouldn’t happen to be this happy every morning
~Lindsey~ After shopping we take a quick grocery run to pick up some fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat. There were basic essentials and shelf stable items already in the house, but Dad believes in cooking healthy meals. Probably the doctor in him feels a little hypocritical telling others to do t
