I turned towards the door immediately, but no one was there.
And when my hands ran over my body, there were no more wounds. I ran to the mirror immediately, to my surprise I was now looking normal. I had no cuts whatsoever, neither were my eyes blazing black. I sank on the bed, wondering what was going on with me. How did I manage to get those wounds, the blazing? And who comes to heal my wounds all the time? I sat up, pulling out the jewelry I had, about to dash into the bathroom. I didn't have any more time, I was made to make my first appearance at the grand function this morning by 10am and it was already 9am. I didn't know I had slept this much. As I stripped off the remaining pieces in my under, and about to make my way to the bathroom, I heard a click on the door. Fear sprang over me, I had forgotten to lock the door. But the sight of the Alpha sent a soothing caress over me. He was the only man who's presence had such dominance on me. His face had a warm smile on it, and I could tell that face was more interested in making love. He reached to me, holding my hands while I melted at his gaze. His hands flung over my soft pulp, and after he made a gentle squeeze, he began to caress them. "We're going to be late." I muttered lightly. "We own the function, we can go whenever we want." His voice shuts me, and his mouth circled over mine. Gently, my back fell over the queen sized bed, while his tongues danced over my skin. He stood up immediately, and began to pull off his wearings and in a matter of seconds, he was inside of me, while I casted loud moans over the room. I watched him dress up immediately, still smiling. "Go get ready, my Luna." He smiled, and I found it strange that he would call me that. Was he not the same person that had just warned me yesterday not to lay my hands on him? I must admit, Alpha Oliver's attitude towards me hadn't been consistent. Sometimes he would yearn for me, tell me sweet things like I was all that mattered, but other times, he would repulse me. I stood up immediately, still confused on what he truly wanted. "Go wash up." He finally said, after admiring my curves for some more seconds, then used the door. I dashed into the bathroom immediately. I must be quick if I don't want to be late. It was already 9:30 am, and I don't trust the Alpha's assurance that we could be late, because what if he switches on me again? I was eager to wash up and run out, but my hands froze as soon as I looked into the mirror. My eyes were blazing black, and my body was beginning to ache. Again? I howled, nothing was making sense anymore. I stood under the shower for just a few seconds before running out to wear my clothes. A long black dress was on the bed already before I woke up, so I just slid into it. I didn't know how things operated here, but it seemed there were workers who chose Luna's clothes or something. I was about to dashed off the room, when I saw a note on the bed. I didn't hear the door open while I was bathing, and I was very sure Oliver didn't leave any notes. "You absorbed the Alpha's curse, come to the constellation, I have a cure for you." It read. My eyes narrowed, confusion plastered over me. I can only remember the Alpha talking about a curse, but I have no idea what it was, or what it means to absorb, or even why I would be the one to absorb it. I paced around the room, my hands hung on my waist. My eyes were blazing black and there was no way I could leave with it. "Should I tell the Alpha?" I asked inwardly. After a while, the only conviction I had was to go to the constellation. Glancing over the wall clock, I still have thirty minutes before the function. Every pack had a constellation where you go and check the newest findings and I learnt the starmoon had theirs at the central pack. But what if it was a trap? A thought struck me. But I was Luna. Yes, Lunas enjoy certain privileges, and no one dared hurt the Luna in her pack. I believed I was protected as long as my crown was concerned. As I dashed out of my room, the maids bowed to me in reverence. It felt strange, but that was my life now. I didn't want to take the palace car as I wouldn't want Oliver to know I stepped out, so I left alone, hoping to get a taxi. But a few minutes on the road, I felt a strong rope circle over my legs, and my hands followed immediately. My chest flew to my mouth, as I fell to the floor. "Who are you?" I whimpered to the presence behind me, heart throbbing so fast. "I knew you'd fall for it.""Y...you must be mistaking something." The great Xavier stammered, flashing a smile to the diviner."No, s...she can't possibly deceive us..."Now his eyes were fully on me, hard rampaging eyes, all eager to tear me apart."You brought us here for fun?"His voice thundered, threatening to bring down the trees around to the floor.I quickly sank my eyes to the floor as soon Oliver stood from his seat.Disgust sat on his face as he approached me.I knew I was in deep sh*t. I was such a fool for believing Sane.My heart hammered drastically, the next thing I felt was a hand cupping my jaw. Oliver lifted it up, causing my eyes to meet his. The most dreadful eyes."How dare you!"I gulped as the growl descended in my belle.Too ashamed to raise my eyes to meet his, because if not that I decided to be gullible, why would I ever listen to Sane. But if Sane was wrong, what then was happening with me?What happened the next fews seconds was swift, with the guards bounding me into the car.My
The rustling of the dry leaves intensified. The bird chirped clearly as we approached the central forest of the Starmoon pack. While my hands grew colder, my feet followed suit with each step.Oliver and his father, in company with the guards, were taking me to the central forest to meet the diviner.Since I claimed to have divine blood, it was time to prove it, and I better did.I released warm air into the atmosphere, anything to calm the tension that sat in my belle. The what ifs had come to taunt me again. What if all Sane said was false? I couldn't possibly bring the Alpha here for nothing, talk more of the great Xavier! My body quivered each time I caught a glimpse of him at the back. He looked so excited that finally there was hope, unlike Oliver who clearly had his doubts written all over his face. We'd advised the great Xavier to wait in the car since he was too old for the stress, but then, he wanted to witness everything. He wasn't even supposed to follow us here in the fi
"The pack lost in a war. That is the reason for the curse." His voice came slowly. Displaying various shades if emotions. His eyes narrowed down, it was almost like he was trying to avoid my gaze. I had never seen him appear so vulnerable before. "So, you-" "I'm going to love you, Amelia. No, I'm going to cherish you with every fiber of my being. No, I--I don't just have to say this, we have to put it into writing and the both parties to sign." I chuckled at the sound of that as I watched him motion his words, trying to make sure that I was convinced. Honestly I didn't see the need for that, I mean, he was the alpha and the least I expect from him was to keep to his words. The Alpha's keep to their words. But I was going to say the contrary. To sound serious of course. So, nodding my head sheepishly, I said, "I had it in mind that we're going to sign. At least the two parties will keep to the end of their bargain." I declared. Honestly, I couldn't help but feel the pri
Oliver held my hands tightly. He was robbing his large palms on it while his wide eyes steadied on me in mercy. This time, it didn't look like he thought I was joking.I could tell he knew I was serious. "Who told you I had a curse?"He asked calmly. All his wide eyes did was to plead with me never to lie to him.I pulled out from him immediately. If I was going to say what I know, I'd as well get something out of it.A lot of thoughts came to me as to what he should offer me before I speak, but only one stood out for me.The very thing I have longed for since the day I was crowned the Luna. No, I meant since the day I assumed this glorified position with no benefits. I cleared my throat as I started, his eyes pressed down on me in vulnerability. "Ever since I was crowned the Luna of this great pack,I have never enjoyed any benefits. I'm not even treated as one. The other day, you even instructed your guards to lock me up and ground me. Who does that to his Luna? Who does that to
"Is everything okay?"I asked as I followed him to the bathroom. Oliver leaned over the bathroom door by the time I stepped in. He was staring himself in the mirror with so much confusion written on his face. His eyes were still dark black and it didn't take me long to realize that I might be aware of what was going on.If what Sane told me was true, then that might be what was affecting the Alpha. But she had said I had absorbed his curse instead, so why was he still having strange transformations. My eyes quickly went through my body to see if scars might have started reappearing, but there was none, leaving me more confused. "I think-"I bit my lips. I was seriously thinking if I should tell him or would it cause me more trouble. My chest beat faster as I forced myself to make up my mind and come to a decision. While still thinking, Oliver's hands wrapped my waist. He bit his lips gently and pulled me closer to him."You know why I decided to ground you?"His words came, as hi
I heard a knock on my room before the door was opened almost immediately My eyes rose quickly to see whoever that would be at the door.It was just about an hour ago that one of the maids entered to drop off my meal.It was a plate of sandwich and dark chocolate. I had grinned lightly when the meal came.Dark chocolates were my favorite snack, although it was a weird coincidence that it was offered on a bad day like that.I remember I had never told anyone in the pack of my love for dark chocolates, so I found it very weird that they'd be served that day.Oliver walked into the room where he made the guards to ground me.That would be him coming in to check on me for the past twenty hours that I was in there with nobody to talk to.I scoffed at the sight of him, sinking back into the bed, I continued reading the magazine that kept me company all these while."Your ground time is over, Luna. I want you to dress sexy for me tonight. We'll be visiting one of my local clubs."His words
