My back laid against a cold stone,
my breath, battling the heavy stench which hung in the air. The air was frigid, and I found myself shivering in this gloomy room. I attempted to lift my head from the stone as soon as I was about to move my body, but my face struggled with cobwebs. I pulled it off, as I bolted for the available exit which was a dark door that led to a barely illuminated room Range of broken tables, and chairs, laid on the floor, the walls laced with broken mirrors at about every centimeter. Suddenly, I felt an uneasy pricking that someone was watching, and when my eyes flashed over the mirrors, my reflection casted a wave of fear down my spine. "Who is there?" I croaked, voice bathed in fear, gulping. I felt a breath caress my shoulders. The stench of rotten meat became stronger and my heart begged to jump out. I turned quickly, but there was no one there. My breath still hung in agony. My legs searched for another exit, but the more I walked, the longer the room became. "Where is this place?" I screamed, questioning the presence as if I was sure someone was there. "The window." The strange voice groaned, leaving a resounding echo, and drenching me in fear. It was nothing like what I had ever heard, and just then, I realized I was in a haunted house. My eyes dashed to the broken window in between two mirrors, trying to make sense of what the voice had meant. "Run and never return!" It came again. I bolted, not bothering to know what might have spoken to me, because whatever it was, I was too terrified to know. My legs ran as far as I could propel my body into the forest, darkness thickening with each sprint. The claws of the trees dragged my skin, grasses attempting to sleep my feet off, but I didn't dare stop. I could hear menacing chants and growls from the house. I felt I couldn't run anymore as the forest had become pitch dark, and I might run into the trees, but just then, I saw a glimpse of light shining from a distance. I ran faster, following the direction, my lungs shutting. My legs slowed down as I approached the light, it was now brighter, and it appeared it hung in an open space. My eyes glowed when I saw the structure of the moon, beautifully decorated. The light illuminated from it. Just then I laid helplessly before it, begging it to save me. **** My eyes open immediately, flashing over the entire room in fear. "Thank goodness." I croaked as soon as I realized it was a nightmare. Trying to lift my body off the bed, a sudden rush of pain flooded my back. I was still in the yellow dress I wore for my crowning, the crown, laid on the table beside my bed, while I laid on the queen sized bed in the room I dressed up earlier. My head searched for the memories of last night. I hissed, remembering that I had forced myself to sleep last night after the Alpha spoke badly to me. I managed to lift my body off the bed, and tossed off the gown, dashing to the mirror to check my wounds. I remember I hadn't been beaten or maltreated, so why would I have wounds on me? The dark blazing in my eyes sent me into a huge shock. I glanced, through the mirror, wondering why my eyes were blazing black and my body was all soiled with bruises. I stared helplessly, scared of who I was seeing in the mirror. I had terrible cuts over my body, even on my face. Hadn't it been a nightmare? I stepped away from the mirror as soon as the memory of the mirrors in the haunted house flashed in my mind. I paced round the room, wondering what might have happened to me and how to cover up the wounds. I was going to make my first appearance as Luna and I couldn't afford to appear that way. I paced and paced, panic flooding me, and my hands were sweating. Just then, I heard a click on the door and it stormed open. The figure held my eyes and mouth immediately, making sure I didn't see him or scream. "Shiii!" His masculine voice commanded, his grip pulling me towards the bed. I had only a little short on my lower body, my soft pulp all out. I felt his hands caress my lower back, and I curled up, yearning for more of him. At first I felt it was the Alpha, and was already expecting his hands to grab my pulp and launch them into his mouth, moaning over them. That was his favorite thing to do. But instead, he maintained his position at my back, his hands hovering over my wound. I felt them heal again, and I realized he was the same man that healed me days ago. "Who are you?" I asked again, hoping he would reply to me this time, but instead, he blindfolded me with a napkin. "Promise me you won't look back. " I nodded emphatically, hoping to hear him tell me who he was afterwards, but before I could tell what was happening, he had left me.Damian"What's in there?"she asked, her hands shoving into the envelope.I leaned closer, my gaze cutting through. "It's the sad report of the starmoon pack. That throne snatcher family couldn't even run the palace's company. It's in depth as we speak."I drew in a sharp air."I believe it's time we went back to the palace and take back what rightly belongs to us.""I was going to say that to you."She cuts in."I have to go back for my jewelry. That's the only memory of my mother I have."She said, determination to return to the palace filling her. This caused joy to well up inside me.Gradually, everything was coming in order and that made me so happy."We're going to penetrate the palace company, the entire starmoon business space like we planned. There's no turning back now."I said to her and she nodded.Amelia's quest for revenge for all Oliver and Sane put her through made it easier for me to manipulate her. We'd planned to take over the entire Starmoon business space, be the
OliverLights shone on the palace of the starmoon pack. It was 5:30am in the morning when my eyes gradually fluttered open.Having had a very long dayYesterday, I decided to get a good rest.My hands ran through the bed, surprised not to feel any presence. I quickly got on my heels, then made it out of the room. That was making it the third time in a week, Sane wasn't on the bed each time I woke up.I quickly dressed in a red robe, before heading out of the room.A familiar scent fell on my nose in the corridor. It was a heavy scent of Sane's perfume. The one she wore while going out during the day.I followed the scent, and there she was, in the bathroom of one of the rooms. It seemed like she was taking her bath. I didn't want her to know I was awake so I decided to peep.I saw through the slightly opened door that her underwear was on the floor, while she washed her under. The sight of it made my heart skip.It could only mean one thing, which my mind was begging not to be true.
"Wooof..." I screamed as I released the smoke I'd gathered, watching them disappear into thin air.I lifted my face up to the sky, then gathering the determination that I needed, I formed my hands into a cup, like I was going to scoop with it.My eyes charged at the sky. It was still the early hours in the morning, the moon had gone into the clouds, calling it a night, but it didn't matter. The reason is because I knew the moon goddess was with me, whether there was moon in the sky or no moon."That's a large catch."Leticia said in excitement. Her face wrapped up in a smile as she watched me gather as much energy as I could, then again allowing it to escape the atmosphere. "I'm proud of you Amelia." Leticia said as she approached me.Her gray eyes were all wide in admiration. No doubt it was screaming the word 'proud'. "You're set out for whatever you want to use your powers for. War, recovery, build, destroy? Name it. You have the backing of the moon goddess."Her palm touched my
Amelia Five years later."One more round and you win."Lily said, her chest breathing heavily. She moved to her bags on the floor and pulled out a bottle of water, gulping on it as I was already doing mine while sweats dripped down our skin."Beat me if you can." She said,I chuckled, "you know I will win. I learnt from the best." I replied."That's why you have to prove yourself. Show me all you've got."She boasted, making a bulge in her biceps, and we both laughed. My best friend, Lily, never believed that I could beat her in the game of table tennis, and I was about to prove her wrong. We both picked up our bat, then matched back to the board. Eyes fighting the invisible battle even before our bat touched the tennis. We were both dressed in our sports wear. Shorts and a T-shirt.Hands wrapped in gloves.Lily and I have been best friends for the past four years. Looking back, I was grateful that our path crossed. She had been a sister I never had.We met in business school I enro
The cold air brushed through my face. The sound of a busy road was heard from a distant city. Men and women walked past swiftly. Each looking like they had something important to do.Of course they did, because nobody would get into the busting city that early without having where to go.My hands clasped tightly on Damian's hands as he pulled me further into the city.Soon we arrived at the train station. He led me inside calmly like I was such a child he'd sworn to protect. I cleared my throat, hoping to finally say something. "Can I talk now?"I whispered, hesitantly. He'd chuckled, "of course, we've left the starmoon pack." He said, his voice was barely a whisper. His eyes were still tense. More like something heavy was still laid inside."Why are you doing this?" I turned to face him after we boarded the train."Why are you helping me?" His gaze ran through me for a while like I was a script he was trying to memorize. Warmth flowed from his eyes as much as he could offer. Cock
Everything that followed happened so fast.I found my hands bound immediately. The guards had brushed past my shoulders, their cold palms descending on my skin before I could say jack. Piercing eyes were on me, coupled with tension that grew in the atmosphere. The air was so thick that I feared it would cut my breath. Oliver's gaze was deadly. He'd stared at me, attempting to devour me with those eyes before he turned to face his father.By then two people had walked in, with a stretcher to wheel the great Xavier. And then I was taken out.I found myself in a cold dark room.It didn't look like the room had seen air for the past decade. Horrible stench settled on my nose, making it difficult to breathe properly. I buried my face in my hands as the thoughts of everything ran on my head.Someone obviously set me up. And it was not looking good. The diviners were there, together with the cabinet members. It wasn't looking good in any way. I had never seen such a stone in my entire
