Chapter 4

With tears falling from my eyes I said this to him hoping he would give me at least this.

I can't leave the pack unless I'm mated outside the pack you've mated so your mate comes to our pack.

I'm asking you to know that my heart won't be mended and every day I get to see on repeat my heartbreak again and again 💔.

He sighs and looks at my eyes reading me to see if what I'm saying is true and I'm sure he sees it.

I Anthony Johnson of the Dakota Sunrise pack release you, Lynette Childs. He says this and I release the breath I've been holding and nod.

I look up and he has a single tear that has escaped as he steps past me.

He turns and says no matter what Lil lady I will always love you.

I couldn't let him finish I turned away and he walked out.

The door closed and my heart broke into a million little pieces.

I clutched my stomach and bent down onto the ground it was a searing pain ripping through me.

I mind link Alpha Chris somethings wrong I'm in too much pain I can barely walk.

Within minutes he and Luna Nina appeared quickly with the pack doctor after getting me examined the doctor explained that it was caused by stress and I should take it easy.

I sit in bed and look at my Alpha and his Luna and how in love they are.

I can see it, I can feel it.

Their undying love is because of their mate bond.

My heart squeezes a little I thought this was what I once had but in comparison to what I felt in their presence it was nothing I sigh and it catches their attention.

Alpha I need to get away until the baby is born.

Is there anywhere I can go someplace you trust that I could stay for a spell?

He glanced at Luna Nina and asks did you tell Anthony about the child.

 With two nods of my head, I reply yes.

What did he have to say? shrugging my shoulders I reply, I released him and per my request, he released me and my child.

This child won't know of him and in return, I promised his new mate will never know either. 

He sighs and shakes his head do you think that this is best?

I know it is if he wouldn't release us I would have had to get rid of it but because he did I get to hold on to a little piece of a happier time in my life. 

He looks at me warily and back to his wife.

I will call around and see where would be a good place for you and the baby in the meantime rest up and eat the soup the cook sent you.

 I will get back to you in a little while he says leading Luna Nina towards the door hugging them both I watch as they disappear.
