“I’m sorry,” he mumbled before diving through the window leaving me stunned as I then ran towards the open window. I stuck my head out in hopes of finding Giovanni possibly dead on the ground because there was no way he could’ve been alright after diving through a window that was so high up.

But to my horrifying surprise, Giovanni was nowhere to be seen, and instead stood a 7.5 feet wolf with brown fur splattered with gray. He was huge, causing my eyes to widen in shock, “Gio?” I called out as my voice appeared soft but high in utter disbelief.

The wolf looked at me before barking as I gasped, almost falling out of the window, but before I could confront him or ask anything, he howled as I covered my ears, feeling the sound penetrate my body and vibrated against my soul. I opened my eyes, realizing that I had closed them before looking around to see that the wolf was nowhere to be found.
