CHAPTER 3

Damn you Lucas Joe Alvarado. I woke sweating again, it has been 2 days since he  asked to sleep with me and I have had sex dreams about him since then.

I have been more turned on than I have ever been, God Ari is right. I do need a vibrator.

I still haven't decided if I should sleep with him, I mean is it a one time thing or a constant thing.

And if so do I have to tell Kathy, God I have wanted him for so long and now that he wants me I'm panicking.

He gave a week to give him an answer, I just hope I'll have a decision before Friday.

Today is Sunday, which means Sunday dinner at my parents.

I quickly stood up and take a long hot shower and call Ari immediately after.

We go to the gym and have brunch every Sunday, with Kathy not being around it's just me and Ari.

"Someone is on edge today, you were on fire working out today." Ari says as we collect our healthy smoothies and walk to the car.

"Just frustrated and stressed out." I say as we enter the car.

"Sexually frustrated." She asks raising her eyebrows.

"Yeah, you could say that."

"Should we go out later or maybe call Oliver and get rid of some tension." She says.

"Oliver is my friend who I occasionally have sex with."

"No I'm done with Oliver, and besides he's in New York." I say.

"Let's go out today then, Andre can invite his friends from the team." Ari says excited.

Andre is her new basketballer boyfriend.

"No I have Sunday dinner today, so I can't." I say.

"Okay, well I got you something that will help with the stress." Ari says grabbing something from the back seat of the car.

I grab the paper bag from her and open it. It is a vibrator.

"Before you say No, you need some relief." Ari begins to say before I cut her off.

"It's okay, thanks. Drop me off at home I have to send updates to Jessica about the interview."

"Yeah how is that going." She asks.

"It's going fine, You know Lucas likes to get straight to the point." I say trying my best to change the subject.

Thank God we reached my place in time, I didn't want to talk about Lucas with anyone right now.

"Bye, I'll call you." I said as I quickly got out of the car.

Hours later I was at my parents place in Beverly Hills. My brother's haven't arrived yet so I had to listen to my mom tell me about new recent fight with my aunt.

"Mom you should just ignore aunt Hilda, engaging will just make her frustrate you more." I say for the tenth time since I arrived.

"I mean she's unbelievable. Just because she has a job she expects me to take care of the club parties while she does nothing.

I don't even know why she's president of the club. I should be president." She added.

Thank God my brother Justin chose that time to join us in the kitchen.

"Hey" he said giving my mom a hug and kissing both her cheeks.

"My baby." She answers hugging him.

"Wad up." He says to me high fiving me.

"Where is Wesley," I ask referring to my half brother.

"In the living room." Wesley and my mom aren't really friendly being that he's my dad's son with another woman so they always avoid each other.

"Okay I'll go say hi." I say leaving Justin with mom.

"Wad up Wad up," Wes says high fiving me.

"I'm good, Have you seen dad." I ask.

"No but he's in his study."

"So how's school," I ask.

"Cool, Justin has a new girl."

"Yeah? Who?"

"Her name is Caroline, you will hate her." He says laughing.

"Really? She's that awful huh?"

"Yeah she is."

"What about you. Any girl." I ask.

"No, you know your brother is a whore." Justin answers for Wes joining us in the living room.

Wes throws a pillow at him as we both laugh.

Our dad that chooses that time to join us.

"Hello honey." He says to me kissing my cheek.

"Hello daddy." I say hugging him.

"Dinner is ready," my mom says cutting us off.

We go to the dining room and the chef serves everyone before leaving us alone.

"Have you decided when to take your internship." Dad asks Wes.

"Not this semester." He answers.

"And you Justin, it's not too late to focus on corporate law like your brother."

"You can both intern together at the firm."

My dad is a lawyer, in one of the most prestigious firms in L.A, he's the name partner in his firm.

Both my brother's are studying to be lawyers like him, he also wanted me to be a lawyer but I rebelled and went into media.

"No dad, I'm still going through criminal law." Justin answers.

"Well there's an internship waiting for you at the D.A's office anyway. Your mother talked with her brother about that." My mom's brother is the D.A.

"Thanks mom." Justin says to her as we eat in silence.

"What about you, Vanessa how's work?" Dad asks me.

"It's going fine, currently on a new segment interviewing Lucas Alvarado."

I said as I ate my food.

"Yes heard he bought HC global, do you know if he needs new lawyers. Heard he's cleaning house and starting afresh."

"No dad, I don't know."

"Well anyway I'll find out." He says and goes back to eating.

"Lucas? Is that Kathy's brother." My mom asks.

"Yeah him."

"Is he single, maybe you should date him." She adds.

"Mom, stop. Please." I say sternly

"Okay okay. Just want you to be happy."

We eat in silence and I leave immediately after dinner avoiding my mom, don't want her to set me up on her regular blind dates.
