Amanda's POV
"So that was what was up with Alex and Layla," I said, my suspicions confirmed. I had known something was wrong, but it didn't cross my mind that Vince could be involved. The situation was much more complicated than my little pea brain had imagined.
Perhaps I really had been living under a rock this whole time. While Vince had been my enemy, he definitely proved otherwise. I was quite sure that Alex was always the good guy, only that he had been manipulated by the false Layla.
With this in mind, I felt a new sense of warmness enter my body. Even though I was outside, I wasn't afraid of the chill anymore. Vince was beside me, holding my hand. We had settled down on a park bench, and with the wind blowing through my hair, we sat here in comfortable silence.
