The day he Confessed his Love

"Come on Julia it's our first school dance don't you want to meet cute guys and to see who is worthy to be your boyfriend," she said while tossing my clothes around.

"What are you doing" I shouted while trying to clean up the mess she's making.

"I'm looking at your options for the school dance which you don't have," she said while rolling her eyes at my outfits.

"Will you stop you know I don't wear dresses and who told you I'll be going," I said while still trying to pick up my clothes off the ground.

"Why not," she said while still digging through my closet.

"Because I don't want to duh" I replied with an attitude. I got annoyed just hearing her talk about the school dance. At least she had a date I didn't even get asked to a boring ass high school dance.

"Ok what if I found you a date will you reconsider," she said, looking me dead in the eyes. "Ok if you find me a date I'll go," I replied with a plastic grin. I firmly believe there was no way she would find me a date in 2 days, but either way, I accepted the beat just for fun.

"Ok we have a deal but you have to come shopping with me tomorrow because your clothes are trash," she shouted.

"That's rude I think my clothes are unique," I said as I gazed at my Pokemon hoodie.

"Yeah right anyways about tomorrow we won't be able to go to the mall together because I have extra class so I'm thinking I can meet up with you at the mall after class how's that sound."

"That sounds ok to me."

"Ok good anyways I have to go I'll talk to you later bye," she shouted while slamming the door behind her. I fell back on my bed, took out my laptop as I scrolled through N*****x for something to watch. After school, I heard a loud commotion in the cafeteria just when I was about to leave. It sounded like students were cheering, so I went to see what was happening. I saw Abigail and Olivia standing in the crowded cafeteria, waiting for something to happen. I walked over to them.

"Hey, guys what's up umm hello," I asked for a second. There they looked clueless.

"We saw everyone heading to the cafeteria, and we got curious, so we came to see what was going on," said Abigail. Just as I got fed up with waiting and was about to leave, I saw Jamie hopped onto the table in the cafeteria. That's when I got nosey and decided to see what was about to happen.

"Good day Arroyo Valley High" shouted Jamie. Every female in the cafeteria started screaming.

"I know you guys are excited about this year's high school dance, but it would be more exciting if you were going with me. In this hat, I have the names of all the girls praying and hoping that I'm their date for this year's school dance. Are you guys ready to hear who's this year's, lucky lady?" I was bothered that he thinks every girl in this school would be happy to sleep with him or go out with him.

"Oh please," I shouted in my head while rolling my eyes.

"So this year's lucky lady will be drum roll please the beautiful and most stunning Sophia grace" At that moment, I felt sorry for him and thinking people like them will never find love, but another part of me felt hurt. I had this feeling that he would ask me to the dance, but not just like any other girl he randomly picks. I turned and walked out of the cafeteria and went straight home. The second I was home, I got a message from Abigail asking if I was still going shopping. I didn't want to let my friend down, so I washed my face and took my sorry ass to the mall where we met. Hours felt like an eternity; she didn't have a clue what to choose, and I wasn't much help. I just sat there hoping she would find a dress so that we could leave.

"Julia guess what."

"I can't guess just tell me," I said while still staring at my phone, but all of a sudden, there was a moment of silence that made me glance at Abigail just standing there with a dress in her hand.

"Finally you took your eyes off the phone I've been standing here waiting for you to look at me anyway isn't this dress gorgeous and would look great on you standing beside your date."

"You found me a date," I said in complete disappointment

"Yes I did now go try on your dress," she said. I signed of boredom as I struggle to the changing room

"Omg you look amazing," she said while pulling me to mirror

"Now we can match," she said while grabbing the same dress I was wearing. We ended up purchasing both dresses, and we left the store to grab something to eat before we went home.

The day of the dance arrived. We got dressed, went downstairs to see our dates and my mom waiting for us downstairs. We took a few pictures. Before I even had the chance to step outside, my mom handed me a present wrapped with purple wrapping paper and a pink ribbon nicely tied on top. When I opened it to my surprise, there were car keys. I ecstatically ran outside to see a car parked at our front gate. I hugged and kissed my mom just when I was about to enter my car. A man exited the driver's seat.

"Listen up you guys he will be your chauffeur for the night remember to have fun but maybe not too much fun." my mom shouted. We entered the school to see the beautiful decorations the nerves in my body stood bold the moment I showed signs of nervousness my best friend held my hand and smiled we came to a stop, and our date stepped out of the car, held the door, and starched their hands out I was nervous which means my palm would be sweaty.

The moment I held his hand, I immediately knew he was grossed out, so I removed my hand the moment I walked in. I was stunned by how beautiful the decoration was.

"Would you like to dance?" he asked when I thought to myself, I saw the decor. What else should I do that was when my date made the first move and asked if I wanted to dance? I didn't know how to dance, but I accepted anyway it's better than standing and doing nothing. The moment we started dancing, I saw Jamie walking in with his friends and his date by his side. I stopped paying attention to him and focused on my date, which I further found out was just looking for a one-night stand. He started to make me oddly uncomfortable by grabbing my ass during the slow dance, and I kept moving it to my waist. I eventually got annoyed and wanted to stop dancing, but he didn't want to let go of my waist. The more I tried using my hands discretely fighting back. He would squeeze harder. That was when I heard Jamie's voice shouting.

"Let her go?" I felt like I was about to pass out until l felt Jamie holding me by the waist while I watch his friends beat the hell out of my date. My best friend rushed to my rescue.

"Let go of her," shouted Abigail. Just as we were about to leave, Jamie yelled I loved you in front of everyone. I was surprised. Even though I was weak, I had the strength to turn and look at him.

"Yeah, I said it Julia Watson I love you the moment I saw you walk into the classroom I knew the moment we sat on that dirty ass bench and spoke the moment you wrapped your arms around me on the motorcycle I knew I love you but do you" starching his hand out tears started to form in my eyes as I looked at my best friend to see her smiling.

"Go to him," she said while still smiling. Jamie slightly brushed the hair out my face with his palm and went in for a kiss, and we danced the night away with the boys of my dreams. Unfortunately, as my mom always says, and I quote, not everything will go your way.
