Why

As I sat in the living room chair still holding on to my dad's bat, the fear and anxiety of thinking someone is in the house eventually faded, that I fell asleep with my dad's bat still in my grasp. Before I knew it, I heard a loud thump that made my heart sank into my stomach as I went nuts, realizing that my dad's bat was no longer in my grasp, so I had no protection.

As I started analyzing the room of what could have made that sound, that's when I realized my dad's bat was lying on the floor next to me. I took a deep breath.

"It was just a false alarm stop being such a chicken," I shouted in my mind as I squat down beside the sofa to grab my dad's bat to the sound of the knob on the front door turning rabidly. Out of fear and no consideration, I grabbed my dad's bat and sprinted to the basement door, quietly closing it behind me.

"Shit I left my phone on the coach crap what am I going to do" I shouted in my mind as I paste around the room in fear for my life.
