A conclusion

Evelyn’s P O.V.

Next morning, Zuriel went to work without waking me up, my cellphone rang at 11:00 am to force me out of my peaceful sleep. As my mom came back home, so next thing I called my Eddie for details.

“When will we live together, mom? I miss you.”

My bunny’s innocent plea cut through my heart; this separation was heartrending for both of us.

“Mommy is trying, my son. I will call you soon.”

I pacified him with countless excuses and disconnected the call, tears ran down my eyes as I closed them. By placing a pillow on my face, I cried my heart out. Nature had blessed me with the most beautiful gift in the world, it was my inadequacy that I couldn't cherish it well.

This failure alone was the proof that I was the unluckiest woman of the century. My crying episode ended by a knock on the door, Ivy was standing on the other side.

“Are you up, Luna?”

“Yes. Bring the breakfast.”

I unlocked the door before going to the bathroom, so the table was set on my return.
