Cassian POV

I grabbed her by the waist and kissed her.

I didn’t stop to think. Didn’t care about logic or restraint. I just needed to feel her. My wife.

It was reckless. Raw. Wild.

Her body stiffened.

I braced for the slap.

But she didn’t pull away. Not at first.

For one fragile second—she kissed me back.

And for that single moment, my world stopped.

I could feel her heart racing.

Her breath mixed with mine.

Her hands gripped my coat tightly.

It was her.

For five years I thought I was the reason she died, seeing the DNA result relieved me in ways I cannot explain.

Then a voice interrupted us

“Am I interrupting something?” Talia asked.

We both froze.

I turned slowly.

And I saw Talia, she was a few feet away.

Leah…sorry Raven or whatever name she chose to answer, Pulled away instantly, a bit flustered and slapped me across the face.

The sound echoed.

Hard.

I didn’t move.

She didn’t say anything. She just walked away, flustered, and confused, Aiden running after her.

I stood there, breathing heavily, still feeling the taste of her lips.

Then Talia walked closer.

“Wow,” she laughed bitterly. “So this is what we’re doing now? Kissing random girls in public?”

“Talia—”

“I’m pregnant.”

I blinked. “What?”

She pulled something from her handbag and threw it at my chest.

It fell on the ground. It was a pregnancy strip with two lines.

“I’m carrying your child, Cassian,” she said loudly—loud enough for everyone to hear.

I stared at it dumbfounded.

“No,” I whispered.

“Yes,” she barked. “And we’re getting married.”

“Talia—”

“You’re lying.”

She stepped closer. “I’m pregnant. With your child. And I’m not asking for your approval . We’re getting married, Cassian. End of story.”

“Talia—”

“And just so you know. I have the CCTV footage. You and me. The Black Hood Suite. You don’t remember because you were too drunk to stand.”

I picked up the test strips looking at it in disbelief.

“And guess what?” she said, stepping even closer. “You’re going to stand beside me at that altar. Whether you like it or not. Because this time, I’m not waiting for you to make the decision.”

My mouth opened, in shock.

I wanted to scream at her. Accuse her. Demand proof. But all the pieces didn’t fit.

I remembered that night—I had blacked out. But did I...? Could I...

I didn’t know what to believe. And that scared the hell out of me.

Then she turned around and walked away.

I look at her, unable to wrap my hand around this.

Test still in my hand.

Mind racing.

Heart pounding.

And the only thing I could think about was…

Leah.

Then—before I could take a breath—

“Mr. Wolfe!”

I turned.

Elena, my secretary, rushed toward me breathless, folder in hand.

“Not now,” I said immediately..

She didn’t stop.

“I’m sorry, sir, but this is urgent. You need to see it. Immediately.”

I looked at her and the folder, uI took the folder, flipping it open. My eyes scanned the first page. And stopped.

“No...” I muttered.

I flipped to the next. Then the next. All red. All numbers crashing.

“Elena,” I said slowly. “Is this confirmed?”

“Yes, sir. The primary shareholder just pulled his entire investment. That’s 22% of the company’s control—and the market reacted immediately. Our stock is plummeting.”

A cold sweat formed along the back of my neck.

“How long do we have before this hits the board?”

“Thirty minutes. Maybe less.”

I shut the folder and inhaled deeply, trying to steady myself, I barely processed Talia pregnancy news and now this?.

“ We will talk later.” I said, I clearly couldn't think now in this state.

“ And when would that be?, when the company runs into a laughing stock!” Someone shouted.

Vivienne.

My mother.

She walked towards me.

“I just got off the phone with Director Martin,” she said.

“Of course you did, always meddling.” I muttered.

“Cassian, what is happening?” she demanded. “How could you let this happen?”

“I didn’t let anything spiral,” I snapped. “Our investor pulled out without warning.”

Her jaw clenched. “Because your behavior has been erratic. After that girl's death you are barely yourself.”

I laughed bitterly. “ And whose fault is that.”

Vivienne exhaled, frustrated, and crossed her arms.

“Listen to me,” she said tightly. “There’s still a way out. We can clean this up. Talia’s father is willing to reinvest—if you agree to move the wedding forward.”

I stared at her.

“So that’s it,” I said. “You want me to save the company by marrying Talia.”

She didn’t blink. “You’ve done worse things for less.”

I stepped closer.. “You ruined the one good thing in my life. And I let you. But today… Today I tasted what I lost. And I’m not letting anyone steal it again.”

“I will not marry Talia,” I said, voice cold.

She stepped back, stunned. “Do you even know what you're saying?”

“I know exactly what I’m saying. I don't care if I lose it all.You want to destroy me, Mother? Be my guest. Burn it all. But I’m done being your puppet. And I’m sure as hell not marrying Talia, so do your worst.”

Leah's POV"Leah!"I heard Aiden’s voice call after me but I didn’t stop. I couldn’t. My legs moved faster than my thoughts and all I just wanted was to get away from all of them—him, Talia, Cassian… myself.I wasn’t even sure what I was running from anymore. The kiss. God, the kiss. Why did I let Cassian kiss me? Why did I let myself kiss him back? This wasn't part of the plan.I reached the driveway and quickly signaled my driver to get the car started, but Aiden caught up with me before I could open the door. He pulled my wrist.“Can you just listen to me?” he asked, his voice low, pleading.I turned slowly, blinking through the tears already burning at the back of my eyes. "Listen to what, Aiden? What exactly am I supposed to listen to? That you’ve been working with Talia behind my back? That you’ve been lying to me this whole time?”I tried to pull away, but he held on.“Leah, I didn’t lie to you—”“You didn’t lie?” I laughed in shock. “You used me. Just like your brother did.

LeahI heard the door open and I didn’t need a soothsayer to tell me that it was Aiden, his strong cologne always had a way of announcing him.“You look good,” he said.I forced a smile. “Thanks,” I murmured, closing the door behind him.He moved toward the armchair.“So... how did the meeting go, with my brother?” he asked, as he sat down.“Horrible,” I said while gulping a bottle of water, hoping he wouldn't ask further.“Seriously?, I want details, Leah.”I hesitated, then walked to him and stood close. “He saw Liam.”His whole posture shifted. “He what?”“He saw Liam at the airport.” My voice trembled. “I didn’t think—”“Leah…” Aiden ran a hand through his hair. “ You see why I insisted Liam should have just stayed in Tokyo.”I sighed, as I moved closer to him and placed my hand gently on his knee. “Aiden.”I looked up at him, hoping he would see the pain in my eyes. “Can we forget about everything and live quietly? Just you, me and Liam.”He stared at me for a long moment before

DNA Cassian POV I heard a voice.“Daddy!”I looked up, expecting a mistake. A case of mistaken identity. But the boy ran straight to me, laughing as he hugged my leg.I stared down, in disbelief. He looked like me.The resemblance wasn't just the usual one. The shape of his eyes. The tilt of his chin. The dark curls. It felt as if I was staring at a five year old me.“Liam!” A woman shouted.I knew the voice before I saw her.It sounded like Leah.No—Raven.“I’m so sorry. He does this sometimes—runs to strangers and calls them daddy.” She grabbed his hand.“Liam, we talked about this, remember?”He looked up at her, confused. “But—”“No buts,” she said as she dragged him away.I just stared at the boy.The boy was four. Maybe five.I barely had time to process everything before I heard Talias voice.“ Cass”She shouted as she exited the terminal, dragging two designer bags behind her and wearing a scowl.“Seriously, Cassian?” she snapped. “You couldn’t even come inside?”“I was dela

Five years Leah’s POV Five years. That’s how long it took to kill Leah Quinn and become Raven Vale. Five years of surgeries, speech lessons, sleepless nights, and therapy sessions that never worked. Five years of learning how to live again. And it was all thanks to Aiden who helped me. But that was a story for another day. The elevator dinged on the 34th floor and the door opened, Cassian's office. The secretary stood to greet me. “Good day ma'am , do you have an appointment?” I nodded. “ I am Raven Vale. His new partner. He scheduled a meeting with me by 10:am.” She pointed toward the door at the end of the hallway. “He’s expecting you.” I smiled as I walked towards his office. I knocked once, then twice. No answer. Then finally, a deep voice. “Come in.” I opened the door and stepped in. He looked up. Our eyes met. And for one fleeting second, I forgot the script. Forgot every rehearsed line, every ounce of calmness I had practiced. He looked different. “Mr. Wo

The Night that ended it allLeah’s POV“Where is he?” I asked Nia, scanning the ballroom.“Leah… he’s been avoiding you all evening, are you sure everything is alright?"" Everything is alright." I muttered as I kept walking. I had to find Cassian as soon as possible.Tonight wasn’t just about our anniversary—because there wouldn’t be any if I didnt tell him that I was pregnant before he climbed the stage.Five hours ago, I woke up to a divorce paper. No note. No explanation. And since then, he has been avoiding me.I squeezed through the crowd in my red dress, the dress he used to say made me look like his queen. Then I saw Cassian.Standing near the stage, talking to his mother-Vivienne. He looked my way—and then he turned his face immediately.“Cassian,” I called out his name.He didn’t turn.Instead, he walked up to the stage. He took the mic from the announcer abruptly.“I appreciate everyone here tonight,” he began. “Your presence means the world to me.” Then he paused.“This e
