Checking for King in the large bedroom Agent kept in the Persiana complex had proven to be a waste of time. The tom hadn't found his way back while Agent was away.

No real surprise there. The ruler of the Underworld couldn't stay in the living world forever. He had duties and obligations. Agent considered crawling into the bed and sleeping until King returned, but his need to see his lover was stronger than his need to rest. There would be plenty of time for sleeping later.

Taking the long way through his compound, Agent spent a little time checking in on his pet projects.
